Job Description

About This Role:
Minted is seeking an entrepreneurial Manager, Business Operations to join our team to help grow Minted’s rapidly expanding Art business. You will be responsible for driving exponential revenue growth in this category across our wholesale, retail and direct to consumer channels.
As the Manager, Business Operations, you will be accountable for developing our physical product and shopping experience both online and offline. You’ll develop data-driven go-to-market strategies and lead new product launches that deliver the best in design to consumers and hit our sales and profitability targets.
As a key creator of the annual strategy for your business, you will be the ‘customer expert’ for the category, thoroughly understanding the consumer in the category, facilitating consumer research and driving product marketing and its implementation across all functional groups. You will help manage the day-to-day e-commerce operations, promotions, and marketing cadence of the category. You will also work closely with our Business Development team to sell art to Minted’s wholesale partners, helping develop the products and programs we will distribute through this channel, as well as helping sell to and manage the relationships with our partners.
You will be a business partner to our Product Management and Engineering teams in building critical scaling tools and online customer experiences, as well as to our Brand and Operations teams in building out the brand and managing the supply chain with our manufacturing partners. You will bring a scaling and operational mindsight to this business, ensuring that cross-functional teams can act with speed, while also solidifying and scaling key business processes that are critical to growing the business profitably. You will work in a highly dynamic environment and should enjoy rolling up your sleeves to deliver results resourcefully.
You will report initially into the VP, Product Marketing and also work very closely with the CEO. Eventually, you will report to the General Manager, Art once this role is hired.

You Will:

    • Drive revenue growth in the art category, while ensuring profitability and scalability of the business. Figure out go-to-market strategy, optimize day-to-day operations, and track sales efficiency.
    • Own customer insights for the category, including qualitative and quantitative research and develop an annual category strategy in partnership with the GM of the category.
    • Co-develop the category new product roadmap, drive product strategy and product positioning decisions, lead the launch of new products, and track and report on KPIs post-launch.
    • Act as a key business partner to Product Management and Engineering on ideating, prioritizing, and building category feature requirements, testing the implementation of these features, and supporting them through go-to-market plans.
    • Partner with your peers on the Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and NPS.

You Are:

    • A strategic, consumer-centric thinker.  You are a superb strategic thinker who has proven the ability to identify new opportunities.  You understand consumer segments deeply and intuitively, and you naturally gravitate to the consumer when answering questions or considering strategies.
    • Highly analytical.  You have incredibly strong analytical skills and are willing to dive in to metrics, build robust models and performance measurement processes, and develop best in class reporting to drive the growth and profitability of the business.
    • Results-oriented.  You are most comfortable in work environments which are outcome-oriented and merit-based, and are highly motivated by goal accomplishment.
    • A passionate customer advocate. You are ready to put the customer first and influence others across the company to think similarly.
    • A systems thinker. You intuitively understand interdependencies, ask follow-up questions, and drive to solutions that balance the success of initiatives across revenue, quality, brand, and cost goals.
    • Resourceful and tenacious.  You are flexible, adaptable, innovative, and open in response to competitive pressure and market change.
    • A collaborative thinker.  You enjoy an environment that has been structured for collaboration and interdependence, drawing on strong functional areas to build your business. You have excellent interpersonal skills which enable you to work as a team with other Minted functions, at all levels of the company. You are transparent and openly share information.
    • Creative.  You take a keen interest in the design of products, have a strong personal interest in shopping, and have a reasonable ‘design eye’. You understand how to tell the story of the product.
    • Entrepreneurial.  Ideally, you have harbored plans of starting your own business or have worked for yourself before, understanding the true ownership that entrepreneurship entails and how to build a business with fewer resources than you’d like.
    • An owner. You have the natural drive to remove roadblocks, search for answers, and do what it takes to see projects through to completion. You are excited about driving outcomes and never stop looking for ways to improve.
    • A leader.  You can confidently present opinions and drive and make decisions.  You are articulate and persuasive while able to listen and incorporate the perspectives of others. You are capable of balancing and productively resolving timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals. You can lead cross-functional teams with data driven strategies and clearly built operational plans.

You Have:
