SmartRent is an enterprise home automation and smart building platform purpose built for the housing industry. Our product suite helps real estate developers build better buildings, property managers operate more efficiently and residents live safer and healthier lives. The SmartRent platform has grown tremendously over the last couple years and now encompasses six standalone Saas products. We build everything in house from web and mobile software to firmware and embedded hardware. We also integrate hundreds of third party software applications and devices such as locks, thermostats, lights, sensors, cameras, access control systems, elevators, energy meters, water valves and appliances. We are expanding quickly and building a dedicated team to monitor, track and report on the successes of our products.

 

About the Role

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented Product Analyst to own the exploration, identification and ongoing analysis of metrics across the SmartRent ecosystem of products. We want someone who obsesses over data and how it can be used to unearth meaningful insights and drive decisions. A successful product analyst will have a firm understanding of our platform, our customers and the industry as a whole. You’ll work alongside the product managers to identify, track and measure key metrics, OKRs and KPIs. You will also assist in the creation of feature success measurements and track product performance throughout the development lifecycle. The role will also work with marketing, sales, account management and support to supply engaging story-based reports and presentations. The product analyst is a lynchpin for the product team and is vital to scaling the platform and validating new solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards across the entire product ecosystem
  • Create and evaluate product KPIs and OKRs
  • Proactively monitor product performance throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Serve as the in-house expert on product analytics, analyzing data, user flows and making recommendations for further qualitative research
  • Develop and run analyses, experiments and reports to enhance our user journey understanding, reveal new insights, and identify opportunities to improve end-user learnability & task efficiency
  • Work alongside product managers to define metrics, dashboards, and reports that describe progress towards business outcomes
  • Evangelize a data-driven, user-centric culture and drive alignment between departments on relevant topics Use data and experiment to verify hypothesis around bottlenecks in product growth, and consult on direction for improvement
  • Audit quality of launch experiment results and guarantee correct measurement of product or technical changes' impact
  • Generates story-based reports, presentations and results based on findings
  • Provides recommendations to Product Team on product launch strategies and prioritization
  • Analyzes market data, competitor data, trends, and emerging behaviors
  • Maintains a direct line of communication with product manager and internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with support, operations and sales to understand and fulfill existing data needs
Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business or related technical degree
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst and/or Product Manager capacity
  • 2+ years of experience in proptech, real estate, multifamily, home builder or similar SAAS companies preferred
  • 2+ years of hands-on B2B in-product analytics experience with one or more of these tools: Gainsight PX, Pendo, Heap, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Adobe Analytics
  • Experience analyzing in-product data including analyses such as customer journey mapping, audience profiling/segmentation, cohort/mix analysis
  • A strong understanding of Product Management processes
  • Prior track-record driving significant business impact, influencing specific OKRs/metrics
  • Experience of A/B or multivariate testing
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with a leading BI Tool, e.g. PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ability to organize and cleanse data, identifying data integrity issues and drive resolutions
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Machine Learning and other data analysis techniques
  • Successful track record of collaboration with key stakeholders Excellent communication and presentation skills
