We are looking for a Calibration Supervisor to champion our calibration program at Luminar Technologies in our facilities in Orlando, Florida.  The position reports to the plant’s Operations Quality Manager.



  • Analyze calibration data, dates, and details to prioritize workload and plant deliverables
  • Ability to make independent decisions to improve calibration process and ways of working
  • Direct and oversee work of subordinate calibration tech/inspector(s)
  • Provide status updates to director level team members
  • Coordinate equipment and tool calibration with internal teams to ensure compliance while allowing engineering and production to properly function
  • Manage all calibration system certifications and labels
  • Manage internal calibration database to ensure 100% compliance on due dates
  • Assist Luminar internal customers with as-needed calibration requests to maintain company deliverables
  • Daily interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality personnel are required
  • External vendor scheduling and coordination
  • Perform onsite audits of calibration status on measurement/test equipment to support overall compliance
  • Interface with internal and external auditors during calibration audits
  • Support efforts to bring calibration program to the ISO 17025 level

Minimum Qualifications

  • A technical degree/technical military course work or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to successfully work in a collaborative environment
  • Able to manage multiple tasks while staying on track to meet delivery dates
  • Level-headed, proactive, and resourceful in nature
  • Ability to take written and verbal direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to provide direction and follow up to subordinate personnel and rate job performance.
  • A background in factory and or engineering laboratory operations
  • Ability to understand electrical test/instrumentation equipment and mechanical measuring gages
  • Read and understand technical specifications as they pertain to site’s equipment and gaging
