The National Account Manager of Emerging Groups will develop and win new relationships in the Emerging Market segment.  This role is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives through new business development. The National Account Manager represents the entire range of Vetsource Vet Prescriptions services and offerings while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring new partner needs and expectations are met by the company longer-term. This is a remote position with our corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

 

Essential Duties:  prospecting Veterinary Emerging Groups to generate and secure new business partnerships

  • Meets assigned targets through effective prospecting, business development efforts and successful management of the sales cycle that enables new Vetsource partnerships with Emerging Groups

  • Define, enhance and refine the sales process to accelerate the sales cycle with a repeatable and scalable approach 

  • Present, promote, and sell technology solutions using solid arguments to prospective customers via live and web-based demonstrations

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates prospect needs

  • Travel, as needed (post-COVID-19)

  • Ensures lead nurturing, processing, and alignment output meets business objectives

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities, assess, clarify, identify client’s needs, and effectively match our solutions to their needs

  • Foster relationships with distributor & manufacturer partners to enhance a seamless sales process

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, listens effectively, transmits information accurately, and actively seeks feedback. 

  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, sales development representatives, prospects, and industry influencers.

  • Ability to quickly develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of Vetsource solutions and remain an expert on current product knowledge 

  • Utilize professional networks to advance new relationships with new prospects

  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting. 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Performance Measurements:

  • Achieves assigned quota in designated number of new partnerships with defined Emerging and Corporate Groups

  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability and customer retention

  • Achieves customer objectives as defined by Vetsource Management

Qualifications:

  • Experience in animal health industry

  • Able to relate to and work with a wide variety of Stakeholders

  • Successfully used a defined enterprise sales methodology to drive results

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Results driven, proactive and able to work autonomously

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities 

  • Flexible, embrace change in a rapidly evolving work and market environment

  • Must be able to use sound judgement and know when to ask manager for assistance

  • Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

  • 4-6 years’ experience in direct B2B Sales and experience in animal health industry 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management or related field. Equivalent work experience will be taken into consideration.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity of eCommerce business (online retail)

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time

  • The noise level in the work area is normally quiet to moderate

  • Remote position

  • Travel required – 40%
