Job Description

Salary: Dependent on experience (base salary + uncapped commission structure)

Location: Home-based - national coverage with a focus on the South and East of England (travel will be expected in the future post COVID restrictions)

Patients Know Best is a fast growing software company providing a digital platform to help patients, carers and medical professionals share data and interact online that is being used in the UK and abroad. We are changing the way personal health is managed, making people’s lives easier and opening up a global market in the process.

We have an exciting vacancy for an ambitious and enthusiastic Business Development Executive for their next career step, or with the right background to start their career. This position is full-time and home-based with an expectation of travel once COVID restrictions are lifted, focused predominantly in the South and East of England, but may have additional national travel requirements from time to time.

You will be trained, managed and mentored by experienced sales professionals who will look to give you a range of skills and experiences as well as giving you the opportunity to contribute to the strategic sales plan and future planning.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Help execute a strategic sales plan to drive lead generation and awareness

Winning new business and developing opportunities for healthcare solutions in the UK market

Work to understand the requirements of our prospective customers and tailor plans and sales strategies accordingly

Develop strong proposals, bids and tenders in relation to customer requirements

Work with our leadership team to identify new target organisations and/or new target markets as appropriate, informed by market engagement, and close working relationships with our Account Management and Service Delivery teams. Develop strategies to target new customers to identify need and areas where solutions can provide value.

Utilise our CRM extensively to ensure up to date information and activities are always recorded

Maintain awareness of industry sector and technological advances

You will be measured on your Sales performance and will be responsible for prospects across all stages of the sales process

Essential skills:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to project a confident and professional image inline with the company brand and values

Self-starter – with passion and enthusiasm to build a great career and a belief in the PKB mission

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and ability to adapt these styles (to varying levels of people within the NHS)

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strategic and out of the box thinker with attention to detail

Desirable skills:

Graduate with 2:1 or better degree or equivalent in working experience

We would prefer applicants to have had some experience working within a software business and an understanding at some level of Healthcare Services/the NHS

It would be useful to have an existing network of decision-makers within the Healthcare sector
