We planted roots in Los Angeles, California. Now, our fleet of electric scooters is available to riders in cities around the world for short trips or the “last mile” of their journey. Bird has grown very rapidly in its first few years. We’ve provided tens of millions of rides to riders in over 100 cities around the globe - and we’re only just getting started.

The Sr. Logistics Associate will be responsible for coordination and routing inbound vehicles and spare parts to US and EMEA 3PLs from contract manufacturers in Asia, and ad hoc shipments originating from contract manufacturers in Asia. This position will be responsible for selecting new carriers, negotiating rates, and held accountable for budgetary spend, as well as the transactions necessary to track shipment movements within the ERP and internal tracking systems. Additional responsibilities include the completion of the required paperwork and documents for the inbound shipments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Route/coordinate inbound shipments of vehicles and spare parts to US and EMEA 3PLs using the current list of logistics vendors
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders and logistics vendors
  • Gather shipping data and input into DASH, NetSuite, KPI Dashboards
  • Coordinate ad hoc and special shipments as needed
  • Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Sr. Supply Chain Manager position’s direct or indirect impact on the company

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
  • 4+ years of logistics experience

  • Ability to develop and implement new processes and workflows
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Decision-making in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with others as needed
