Lily AI is the leading AI platform helping brands & retailers understand an individual customer’s emotional context. One of the biggest unsolved challenges in e-commerce is how to replicate the in-store experience of being able to communicate the fit and feel of each product, and understand each customer's emotional context as they shop. Lily AI's Intelligence Platform uses AI to:

 

  • auto-tag products with the richest set of attributes possible
  • extract and predict the emotional context of each shopper using existing anonymized customer data
  • deliver highly relevant and individualized experiences on eCommerce sites and in outbound communications

Our customers range from big box stores to specialty brands, and full-line department stores to resale marketplaces.

 

We are looking for our first Head of People to oversee the growth of our talent and HR operations as we more than double in size. This role is part of Lily AI’s leadership team.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the rest of the leadership team to develop, communicate, and execute a holistic people strategy.
  • Create and implement people metrics and use this data to drive changes in our people strategy.
  • Embody and uphold our values, and ensure that they influence all key decisions and initiatives.
  • Build and develop competitive and equitable compensation strategy across the organization.
  • Design and implement learning and development programs to engage, motivate, and improve our people, to unlock their potential, and help them grow in their careers.
  • Act as a leader, mentor, and trusted advisor to our People Operations and Recruiting teams to help them achieve their highest potential performance and growth.
  • Drive and develop a best-in-class employee performance management / review process.

What you’ll need

  • 10+ years of progressive people experience including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale programs and practices— ideally, you've helped a company grow from 50 to 200+ people at an Enterprise startup.
  • Acumen and executive presence to become a true business partner across the company.
  • Ability to challenge the team / organization while holding them accountable for their commitments.
  • Extensive experience managing recruitment teams, including building out compensation plans for high performance and metrics.
  • An approachable demeanor that inspires trust and confidence from leaders and individual contributors.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations.
