Position: VP of Marketing
 
Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will play a critical role in setting the strategic vision and driving marketing execution. They will work with the leadership team to ensure that marketing is aligned with sales and product goals as well as create long-term scalable processes to fuel market penetration and growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing products to both enterprise level and SMB customers for SaaS companies. Particularly valuable will be experience delivering products to EdTech, skilled trades and/or prosumer industries.

What you’ll do:
 
Drive all marketing functions including corporate, digital and channel marketing, sales/field enablement, demand generation/content strategy, product marketing, product launches, go-to-market strategies, PR and events/industry trade shows.
 
Leadership: Lead, oversee and orchestrate the work of the marketing team. Coach and mentor the marketing team to high levels of performance.
Sales Enablement: Partner with the VP of Sales to drive improved sales win rate with compelling offer management, field enablement tools, and competitive messaging.
Content Strategy: Lead content strategy and establish the company as a thought leader through unique and compelling content delivered through traditional and digital channels (online campaigns, PPC/SEM/SEO, social media, video and email).
Product: Drive launch and promotion of new products and product features with the product team. Set clear goals, research and define target audiences, develop marketing and communication strategies, and measure adoption.
Customer Advocacy: Empathize the needs of customers in order to articulate the value proposition appropriately. Develop customer personas and evaluate the customer journeys to optimize the customer acquisition cycle.
Metrics: Identify key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools that provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and trends to translate results into actionable insights.
Results: Create marketing funnel and conversion management systems that translate into achieving revenue targets.

Requirements
 
12+ years of marketing leadership experience in both early and mid-stage SaaS companies, EdTech, learning management SaaS companies or companies delivering a SaaS based offering to the skilled trades or prosumer industries (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial verticals, including OEMs, Service contractors, Unions, Large Construction)
Proven experience in growing a venture funded company from Series A/B past Series C and into the tens of millions in revenue
Track record of success developing marketing strategies, driving lead generation and customer acquisition activities in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
Proven experience working closely with sales to build out successful best practices in demand-generation and thought leadership/content strategies for enterprise and SMB markets
Expertise in marketing automation/operations with tools such as HubSpot, Pardot, Google Analytics, Zoho, Salesforce or other similar tools
Experience developing marketing content and managing partners/vendors for websites, email, whitepapers, case studies, video, etc
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, providing accountability for generating pipeline and leads to achieve revenue targets
Experience managing a team
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business, MBA preferred
