About the Job:
 
This role will be critical in scaling Okera and Okera’s partnerships. As a Solution Engineer, you will work both internally and externally to initiate the on-boarding process for new customers, install Okera products on Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), train our employees, customers and partners on the Okera platform and deploy our product in the customer’s production environment. You’ll be part of the professional services group and be an in-house product expert. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales engineer to understand the use cases and the POC readout and Initiate the on-boarding process for the customer.
  • Install Okera product on the customer cloud in the non-prod environment.
  • Help customer with integration of their IAM (Identity Access Management) with Okera product.
  • Own the end-to-end training process, documentation and enablement both internally and externally.
  • Develop programs and materials to enable our pre and post-sales customer-facing teams (TAM, AE, SE, SA, Partners etc.) 
  • Build and deliver role-specific product training to be used during onboarding or for partners.
  • Create customer training tracks for multiple personas throughout the customer journey.
  • Develop and certify integrations with analytical tools like Dremio, Spark, Athena and Databricks.
  • Help customers in integration with Snowflake, Collibra, Allation, BigID, vArmor.
  • Work with the product management and engineering teams to constantly keep up-to-date on the latest product functionality, dependencies, underlying architecture, and their operational impact.
  • Contribute to our ever growing Knowledge Base articles.
  • Be an integral part of Customer Success to ensure a seamless and delightful customer experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of professional service and delivery experience on data engineering or data pipeline projects.
  • You must have experience working with applicable big data technologies.
  • 1+ Experience with Amazon AWS and/Azure and distributed/scalable architecture is a must.
  • Integration experience with IAM, Kerberos and/or Active Directory is a must.
  • 1+ years in post-sales enablement for enterprise products in SaaS and on-prem data management environments.
  • Experience as a TAM, CSM, SE, SA or other similar pre or post-sales role at an enterprise technology company.
  • Working knowledge of scalable and distributed data systems using distributed file.

Technologies we use and learn together:

  • Big Data analytics tools (Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapReduce, SQL, Presto, Databricks).
  • Development tools (Jenkins, GitHub).
  • Knowledge of C++/ Java/ Python is a plus.
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
