We are looking for a technical problem solver who will join our Test Engineering team to help scale BetterCloud’s testing efforts. As a Test Engineer II you are responsible for helping us scale our testing through building automated tests that will contribute to our Test Suites. We are looking for someone who is motivated by solving engineering challenges and by learning through doing.

Let’s talk if you: 

  • Are comfortable with writing automated tests for modern web applications
  • Have a strong understanding of automated testing technology, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmine, Protractor, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CI/CD and testing within a CI/CD environment
  • Have experience working with frontend automation frameworks (i.e. ReactJS)
  • Familiarity working with and testing APIs
  • Proficiency in object oriented programming, preferably with Java and JavaScript
  • Are experienced at working on teams dedicated to owning, building and growing automated test suites
  • Know how to self prioritize work based on team goals
  • Exposure to working with version control systems (BitBucket, Git, Mercurial)

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop automated regression tests
  • Develop API automated tests 
  • Develop frontend and Integration tests 
  • Maintain test suites
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Product Engineers to contribute to test suites within sprints
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the various teams involved with the build and release process
  • Escalate issues discovered by automated tests
  • Assist with test metrics and reporting standards, analytics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms

It’s also great if you have the following: 

  • Experience with Bitbucket/Stash/Github, Web Services, Postman, and TestRail 
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Java, and JavaScript
  • Experience with peer code reviews
