Striim is looking for highly-motivated hands-on Engineers who are passionate about enabling businesses to create value from their data. You will work closely with our valued partners in order to research, scope, design, and implement cloud integration solutions, reference architectures, and best practices. You will be the fuel for Striim partnerships to drive revenue growth. 

The role requires working closely with all organizations within Striim to accelerate opportunities through partners. You will be the advocate of Striim technology with the partners, and partner advocate within Striim. In this role, you will have the opportunity to continuously learn and update your skills in new and evolving technologies, working closely alongside industry and cloud experts. The Partner Engineer will need to develop a deep understanding of the functionality and benefits of our product offerings.

Specific Functions Associated With This Position Include

  • Assist the overall business development team with partner marketing and support activities to enhance the partner program.
  • Design technical enablement strategies and delivery to partner technical sales teams.
  • Discover and promote new use case scenarios with partner technology portfolios using Striim. 
  • Provide partner support as needed working with the product, support, and engineering teams in a technical project management capacity.
  • Present at events such as webinars, conferences in partner internal and customer audiences. 
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs, gaps and requirements to be successful on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate with other company teams to deliver technical training for partner engineering and field teams
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Manage and provide software and systems integration support during the partner development process by designing and implementing applications on the Striim Platform. 
  • Help demonstrate and communicate the value of Striim to prospective partners and customers.
  • Document the end-to-end technical process, contributing to an internal knowledge base for other teams to adopt in cloud migrations.
  • Develop knowledge and capacity to test and integrate the Striim Platform with a variety of Enterprise Data Platforms, Systems and Architecture including: SQL, RDBMS, Data Warehouses, cloud computing services, Linux/Unix, Data Security/Masking.
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and systems, cloud computing services, Big Data platforms, Business Intelligence software, ETL Platforms, Traditional SQL and NoSQL RDBMS, Data Replication solutions.
  • Participate in requirement analysis/product capability assessments with strategic customer prospects.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Strong technical software development experience, data engineering
  • Experience working with or for a major cloud service provider (e.g AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience building bridges internally and externally between Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales organizations.
  • Desire to work hard in a small team environment to ensure its success and the success of the company
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in related discipline. Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Application Developer working with big data (i.e. data engineering) with either data warehouse or data pipeline proficiency
  • Languages: SQL and Java
  • 2+ years’ experience with providing Systems or Software Support to End-Users
  • Deep understanding of OLTP and OLAP systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Google BigQuery, Snowflake and others
  • Experience with Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake
  • Experience working with cloud security - key management, how to configure a proxy, implement a VPN tunnel, etc.
  • High level of energy and positivity - an enthusiastic team player dedicated to detail and excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to interact with technical and business counterparts in partners, customers, as well as within the company
  • Ability to quickly solve technical and business-related challenges
  • Team-oriented and possess strong collaboration skills
  • Passionate commitment to quality and success
  • Ability to travel occasionally to meet with partner teams
