Job Description

Wonderschool is a two-sided marketplace whose mission is to ensure every child has access to child care that helps them realize their potential. We are doing this by building a suite of tools to support passionate early care and education professionals to start and run quality and sustainable child care programs, as well as building tools that make it easy for families to easily find programs that are the perfect fit for the needs of their children. Our tools allow providers to easily manage their students, parents, and school all from one dashboard. Our community allows providers to seek advice, support, and a sense of belonging with a group of like-minded peers.

We are looking for a Head or VP of Marketing to join us and drive our marketing efforts. In this role, you will develop brand and marketing strategies, delegate tasks to the marketing team, set and achieve targets, and establish relationships with the media and clients. You should be able to build relationships with a variety of professionals.


  • Develop and implement our marketing strategy to achieve our company goals which are - sign up new governments, drive renewals of governments, and drive provider product adoption.
  • Manage and build the team to execute on strategy and goals.
  • Increase demand and awareness of Wonderschool from state leaders, local leaders, child care providers, and parents. Primary focus on state leaders and child care providers.
    • State leaders: PR, conferences, organic social marketing (“building in public”), sales enablement
    • Local leaders: PR, conferences, customer success enablement
    • Providers: Sales scripts, websites, product marketing, ads
    • Parents: SEO, social ads
  • Launch new features and services to all of our customers and increase awareness of products.
  • Work with customer success to drive adoption of the Wonderschool platform.


  • Product marketing expert. You understand how to launch new products and drive adoption.
  • SMB GTM expert. Understand how to recruit small businesses, drive adoption, and drive engagement using marketing and channel partnership strategies.
  • Metrics driven. Able to drive leads with strong unit economics and can quickly calculate CAC to LTV of your work.
  • Expertise with our primary channels - conferences, PR, and direct email for network leaders and product marketing, referral and WOM for directors.  
  • Creative. You think outside the box on how to drive awareness.
  • Plus: Government go to market expert. You know how to get in front of state and local leaders and influencers.
