Why We are Hiring

The Existing Business Manager (EBM) role is a new role within the Client Success team. Reporting to the VP, Client Success & Solutions, the EBM will build off the existing process for renewing and expanding our client relationships. The early stage of this role will focus on our small to midsize business renewals. Working closely with Legal and Client Success Managers, this person will be the pioneer in expanding our committed client relationships. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delight, renew, and grow our existing client base
  • Proactively contact clients directly to negotiate terms and conditions for renewals
  • Prepare renewal proposals, quotations, and generate documents for signature
  • Continuously learning about our product and competitive landscape 
  • Coordinate with Customer Success Managers and Legal to proactively identify key upcoming renewal discussions
  • Manage all different facets of renewals process & iterate on that process for efficiency over time
  • Forecast trends and suggestions on how those trends can enhance retention rates
  • Work with the product team to receive feedback on the growing requirements of our clients
  • Train Client Success Managers on the art of the renewal process and how to identify opportunities
  • Refine renewal strategies to proactively engage a client and mitigate churn and contraction

What We are Looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewals, business development sales, or client success (account management with an upsell quota)
  • Proven success in managing executive-level relationships with clients or partners
  • Experience working with banks and/or fintechs a plus
  • Demonstrated track record working in a results-driven role that directly impacted the growth of a business
  • Experience building out renewal processes with empathy and persuasive 
  • Cross functional skills, particularly related to Accounts Receivable, forecasting, and reporting
  • Experience working with any customer success platforms such as Catalyst, Gainsight, Totango, or Churn Zero as well as legal document generation platforms like Ironclad a plus
