About the Role:

The Head of Buying will oversee the buying team across the full portfolio of brands across our US websites LOOKFANTASTIC and SkinStore. will be responsible for relationship management across all beauty partners, maximizing sales and margins, developing the ranges and driving continual growth across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

    Managing the portfolio of brands to maximize sales and margins, develop the categories and drive continued growth.
    P&L responsibility of the full portfolio of brands
    Stock management through pricing and promotion in partnership with Director of Planning
    Recruiting new and exciting Beauty brands
    Negotiate optimal terms with new and existing suppliers
    Review and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and manage actions to implement
    Develop, implement, and deliver brand plans including range reviews, promotions and pricing ensuring consistency with commercial strategy
    Completing regular competitor analysis to ensure our ranges and prices are in line with the current market
    Take ownership of preparing, managing, and delivering the brand budgets.
    Work in synergy with the supply chain and merchandising team to manage the efficiency of our stock profile
    Build and execute alongside the buying team the best in class JBPs, focusing on metrics such as new customer acquisition, retention, AOV via means of sampling, GWPs, exclusive launches, regime bundling etc.
    Provide our brand partners with customer focused insight to cement our position as the ‘partner of choice’.
    Identify ways of growing profit through terms negotiation, funded promotional mechanics and commercializing marketing activity.
    Coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential within the business

    Terms Movements and Marketing Investment
    Development of Direct Reports
    Category goals and productivity optimization

Requirements

    Experienced Buyer or senior level Account Manager, ideally preferred within the beauty industry
    Strong track record of management and delivery
    Experience in managing and partnering with brands across the independent and corporate sectors
    Ability to coach and mentor junior members in the team, ensuring their professional development
    Strong negotiation and influencing skills
    Commercially focused
