ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Strategic assignment of PIT training implementation, and re-certification annually for locations assigned by EHS Manager
    Uses internal systems to organize, track, and monitor work comp claim and incident information
    Interacts and problem solves with Health and Safety Manager, Senior Management Team, and colleagues to identify new areas of training and continuous improvement for all areas of safety
    Travel may be required 10% of the time to help facilitate and implement new and existing safety training; while ensuring all new and existing team members are trained to help reach operational performance goals and expectations
    Performs Root Cause Analysis Investigations for each claim and reports timely information to EHS Manager
    Takes ownership and responsibility for properly documenting, reporting, and processing damage occurrences and injury claims per company policies; while training others how to do the same
    Ensures safety operational effectiveness up to and including: facilitating safety trainings, traveling when required to other job sites, and assisting in daily safety updates and claim organization and management
    Enforces and upholds of all policies and procedures implemented by The Hut Group

    Open to changes, with the ability to work varying schedules, including potential nights and / or weekends, and potentially travel
    Maintains a level of engagement and awareness of operations, even during offsite hours
    Works closely with the Leadership and Development team to implement training schedules and documentation
    Schedules and chairs monthly Safety Meetings for employees; maintains meeting minutes; communicates concerns to EHS Manager
    Performs routine quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine air, ground or water pollution levels; evaluates all environmental waste streams in the facility
    Compiles and maintains records in accordance with governmental agencies; completes and forwards all applicable permits and license applications to the appropriate state agency
    Support local, state and federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
    Other duties as required

Requirements

Qualifications:

    5 years’ experience in safety, occupational health, or related field

    Bachelor’s degree in environmental or safety engineering or similar discipline.
    OSHA 10 Hour Certification or OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred

    Experience with Microsoft Suite, i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel
    First Aid/CPR
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment
    Ability to have a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed to meet the demands of the role.
    Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) capabilities preferred but not required
