POSITION OVERVIEW
Strategic Sales - Provider Network will serve as key member of Zelis Payments’ Provider Sales team. This position is responsible for selling new accounts, facilitating contracts and rates, building and maintaining provider relationships, as well as attending approved industry forums and conventions.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Successfully selling into large providers and Health Systems at the C-level.
  • In partnership with Marketing, coordinate a unique show strategy for each selected event, including the logistical and staffing issues.  Track ROI on each event attended.
  • Develop strategies, in conjunction with Zelis Leadership, for the provider payment network development through analysis and market knowledge.
  • Identify network potential in new and existing service areas, investigate targets and present Zelis Payments network to targeted groups.
  • Renegotiate/renew existing contracts using analysis of cost and utilization data.
  • Devise strategies to convince ‘Opt-Out’ Providers to enroll in an appropriate payment product.
  • Effectively present the value proposition of the Zelis Payments product line to large provider segments and provider size.
  • Maintains awareness of and ensures adherence to Zelis Payments standards regarding privacy.
  • Travel requirements expected to exceed 50% - Candidates will reside in central or west US within 1 hour of major airport.
 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of outside payments/revenue cycle sales to top 200 Strategic Health Systems. 
  • Experience selling CFO and VP Treasury, preferably within large providers/healthcare system.
  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the operational processes of healthcare payers/providers and large healthcare facilities with an understanding of their goals and objectives.
  • Proven and consistent sales success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
 
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred
