Job Description

Wise is the world’s most international account. Founded in 2011, our mission is money without borders – so people and businesses can send, receive and spend money anywhere around the world effortlessly and at fair pricing, whenever, wherever. Fast forward to today and we help over 10 million customers save over £1 billion a year in fees.

We’re looking for an Affiliate Marketing Executive to join our Affiliates and Partnerships team to drive acquisition across personal and business users through our partner relationships.

The Affiliates team is one of the biggest user acquisition channels within the Performance Marketing tribe. Our vision is to build the best partnerships programme so that anyone who has a desire to recommend Wise can easily find our affiliate programme and is equipped with the right tools and information to help them become successful Wise ambassadors.

We do things a bit differently to your standard affiliate programme, with a heavy focus on search and content partnerships. However we’re always looking for new partner categories and verticals to expand into and the different commercial models that may be needed; whilst ensuring that we only close sustainable, long-term partnerships that will reach and educate consumers and businesses who have never heard of Wise. We look for scalable ideas that can help us 10X our growth, looking for learnings that can be applied across the board.

The role

You’ll manage our existing partner relationships to ensure they’re achieving their full potential. From performance reports, communication with partners, identifying growth opportunities, to retaining our partner engagement rates, you’ll constantly be working to keep Wise front of mind with our affiliate partners.

You’ll work closely with our outreach team and inbound specialist, helping engage newly recruited partners to ensure that they become active promoters of Wise. You’ll also support in identifying new trends or promotional types to help with our new partner acquisition strategy. You’ll help to keep our partners up-to-date about new product and feature launches and devise ways to incentivise our partners to take action.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing relationships with our top affiliate partners across a variety of category types, including but not limited to comparison sites, expat content sites, personal finance sites
  • Auditing partner pages to ensure that Wise is featured on the most valuable pages and call to actions are optimised for conversion
  • Negotiating long term sustainable commercial deals with our partners
  • Monitoring our top partner pages across markets with monthly performance summaries, flagging any key insights to our outreach and inbound specialists that could help improve our affiliate recruitment efforts
  • Maintaining our internal affiliate CRM to ensure we have up to date information on conversations and deals set up with partners
  • Quarterly reporting and opportunity meetings with our top partners as required
  • Identifying new growth opportunities with existing partners
  • Running growth tests and applying successful campaigns to more partners in a scalable fashion
  • Creating content briefs and communication updates to partners about new growth ideas, Wise product updates and launches
  • Regularly reviewing current spend and acquisition across our partners to ensure they’re meeting desired KPIs. Where they are not, take appropriate action to rectify
  • Working with our inbound specialist to activate high potential value partners

A bit about you

  • Experience in affiliate marketing at brand, network or publisher side
  • Track record of growing performance of affiliate partners
  • Understanding of affiliate tracking
  • Understanding of various affiliate commercial models and the different types of affiliates these could apply to
  • Good sales, negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, able to lead presentations
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify performance trends and opportunities
  • Ability to juggle and prioritise multiple projects
  • Basic SEO knowledge desirable
  • Experience in conducting keyword research and identifying content gaps desirable
  • Proficiency in another language desirable

What’s in it for you?

This role will give you the opportunity to make an impact and get things done. You have the chance to shape and evolve the way we handle our affiliate relationships and lead growth activity with our existing partners – whether that be through new route launches, identifying additional opportunity gaps or supporting on partner re-engagement activity. You’ll actively take part in planning, ideation and execution.

We’re always on the search for new types of partnership verticals, so you’ll have the chance to be exposed to a wider range of partnership types and commercials, learning about the different levers that help to engage and grow different partner types.

You’ll have the chance to work in a friendly and supportive atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to grow and be part of our revolution including a company funded personal development budget to spend on training, books and events. We’ll offer you a competitive salary, your own slice of the revolution in the form of stock options, and a host of other benefits including private health insurance and pension.

Who we are:

Wise was founded in 2011 with a clear mission: Money without borders so people and businesses can send, spend and get paid in any currency, whenever, wherever.

Sure, the heart of what we do is international money transfer. And we’re committed to making it instant, convenient and fair for millions of people, all over the world. But we’re growing our other products and our teams at an exciting pace. And we’re looking for the very best to jump on board.

What it’s really like to work here:

At Wise, we do things a bit differently. There’s no corporate nonsense, and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in dozens of self-sufficient, autonomous teams. Think of them like start-ups within a start-up.

Each team picks the problems they want to solve. So, there’s no micro-management. No hiding behind fancy job titles. And no one is telling you what to do. You are your own boss. But you’ll get tons of guidance and plenty of support from your talented, super-smart teammates.

We’re going to be upfront — the way we work doesn’t suit everyone. But if freedom, and life-affirming, head-scratching professional challenges rock your world, we could be a match made in heaven.

We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.

Also, where and what you studied isn’t important to us. If you’ve got great experience, the right skills for the role and you’re great at articulating your thinking, we’d like to hear from you.
