Job Description

We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial product leader to help build Ritual into the most trusted destination for every day health. In this role, you will help shape our vision for the future, build a best-in-class team and culture, and execute against ambitious goals, with a focus on delivering incredible experiences to our customers and our community. 
You’ll hire and grow strong product managers, work in lock-step with design, engineering, data, and other functional teams, iterate on and evangelize processes, and build a product org centered on hypothesis-driven innovation. You’ll work directly with the COO and Founder/CEO on product strategy, and clearly and consistently articulate that strategy to the entire team. 
You will help lead the evolution of Ritual’s product from subscription e-commerce to much, much more. You’ll drive strategic priorities within our core e-commerce business and build the next chapter, leading the charge on big, new ideas that support our mission. 

What You’ll Do:

    • Clearly articulate a vision and strategy for our digital platforms, and ensure the roadmap is tightly aligned. Communicate clearly around the roadmap at all levels of the organization. 
    • Recruit, hire and lead talent, ensuring product managers and other stakeholders have the right tools to develop hypotheses, experiment and drive impact. Continuously improve the way our digital teams operate, optimizing for transparency, efficiency and autonomy.
    • Hone a deep understanding of our various customer segments and act as their champion within the organization.
    • Develop further competitive differentiation in our digital platforms to build trust and drive compliance with our daily-use physical products. 
    • Ruthlessly prioritize, achieving balance between short and long term results, and turn big, nebulous ideas into thoughtful plans of action. 
    • Partner with leaders in marketing, operations, data to understand problems and opportunities within the business.
    • Define quarterly and annual objectives, and ensure the team is resourced property to achieve them. 
    • Define and socialize day-to-day metrics for product and drive culture of experimentation to improve those metrics.

Who You Are:

    • Comfortable as player and coach. You can toggle between big thinking and day-to-day execution with ease, and have experience doing so. 
    • Experience leading and scaling product orgs. 8+ years in product management at high growth organizations, with 2+ years in team leadership role. Experience in consumer-facing e-commerce required. Additional experience with high engagement products preferred. 
    • Data driven, data savvy, analytical. You believe deeply in the power of intuition and the necessity of data to support that intuition. You are adept at turning raw data into simple, critical insights. You’re very comfortable in a spreadsheet or a BI tool, reviewing the work of others or creating your own.
    • Process wonk. You believe process is empowering and necessary for innovation. You are tuned in to process issues and constantly looking for a better way to work together. 
    • Technical. You can dive deep alongside engineers and understand why we’ve made the technology decisions we have and how to leverage them for scale. You know what to look for in technology partners (internal and external) and how to challenge them to deliver solutions that make sense for our business.

What You'll Use:

    • We leverage several tools to help us discuss, document, prioritize, and make work happen. Expect to spend some time in Notion, Asana, Jira, Slack, Productboard, Looker, and more.
