Synack is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial and innovative editorial whiz with a solid grasp of technology issues, understanding of digital storytelling and the writing chops necessary to regularly turn out great content that stands out in today’s crowded media landscape. 

You will play an integral role in the creation and development of two high-profile media ventures--a Cybersecurity Publication and Podcast--working across platforms and teams to develop new voices and content types that resonate with multiple audiences. You are an equal parts writer, editor and strategic media thinker and can straddle editorial production, marketing content creation and public relations. You’ll work with both internal and external SMEs to craft compelling and clickable articles, thought leadership and content from leading cybersecurity writers and thinkers. Sounds interesting? Here's what you'll do

  • Help launch and run a cybersecurity publication and podcast, producing the highest quality cybersecurity journalism, storytelling, analysis and commentary
  • Edit content, manage writers and assign stories to freelancers
  • Ensure editorial quality control across multiple channels
  • Be a creative partner in developing initiatives and campaigns to increase brand visibility and grow readership
  • Work with technologists, hackers and analysts to turn complex topics into attention-grabbing narratives
  • Help develop social media campaigns to elevate content and reach the right audiences

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of editorial, content production, journalism or related experience 
  • Know-how for building and growing digital content platforms and a solid grasp of cybersecurity issues and trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Strong multi tasking and organizational abilities with an entrepreneurial drive
