Job Description

MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 300 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.

Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as Lincoln, RI and Denver, CO.

We’re making new and exciting things – and we could really do with your help.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the technical lead on all print projects that are outside the scope of the automated workflow.
    • Review customer specifications and time lines and collect information needed to complete the project.
    • Support our Sales Team by helping to understand the customer’s needs.
    • Ability to be a creative thinker and offer suggestions to meet customer requirements while remaining within budget and in-hands date of the project.
    • Work with the Supply Chain team to create requests for all materials needed to complete each project.
    • Create job tickets for prepress and production.
    • Work with internal resources for items that need to be outsourced.
    • Generate any special guidelines or instructions that may be needed by Operations.
    • Manage proofing process as required depending on project requirements.
    • Manage timelines, production schedule and internal invoicing.
    • Update project schedule in Jira to keep all parties up to date.
    • Serve as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Partner with Operations personnel to resolve problems during printing and finishing stages of manufacturing.
    • Update Operations team leads with the amount of resources that will be needed to complete that Special Project.
    • Work closely with the Sales team and Production to reduce cost through efficiencies.
    • Educate the Design Services team on any external or internal print specifications that may be required to achieve the highest quality print.
    • Be the liaison between External Vendors and the Design and Sales team to be sure customer expectations (completed, shipped, delivered, etc.) are being met.
    • Be backup for Quality Control and Production work within the Design Services Team.

Requirements:

    • In this role, you will work with many different teams to manage print and packaging production projects. You will be expected to educate Sales and Design team members in all facets of the print and finishing process. This role requires you to be an asset to SSDS, Operations, and our customers.
    • The ideal candidate has a strong print background, including file prep, digital print, print finishing, packaging, and shipping.  They will need to have attention to detail and strong leadership skills.  They need the ability to promptly respond to sales requests in order to increase sales volume. You must have a great attitude and be a strong collaborator; thriving in a team environment.  Multi-tasking is a must, managing multiple projects, fielding answers, and delivering a high quality product is required on a daily basis.
