About the role

You're results focused and passionate about data visualisation and dashboard development, leading by example and setting the bar. You will embrace the WorldRemit values: "aim high," "embrace challenge" and "do what's right".

Data, Insight, and Analytics is an integral part of our business and you will be part of an ambitious team to deliver impactful data-driven solutions to some of our trickiest problems - partnering closely with our Network, Performance, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations teams. This role will have a huge impact on the business.

On the technical side, you will be working with a wide variety of technologies (e.g. Tableau, Looker, SQL, Python or R, Excel…), data sets, and techniques to drive real business value. You'll need to be comfortable choosing the right tool for the job.

As a member of WorldRemit's Insights & Analytics team you will aim high, embrace challenge and always do what's right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company's technical direction and long term decision making.

Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager, you will:

  • Translate business requirements from different departments  (e.g. finance, marketing, fraud, operations, customer service etc.) into concrete dashboards and visualizations that can be easily understood and used

  • Build detailed knowledge of WorldRemit data and data sources, and use advanced SQL to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences

  • Maintain and improve a diverse set of dashboards with a passion for automation

  • Champion the use of data to derive commercial insights and drive action, ensuring customer and corridor data and trends are at the heart of every business decision

  • Contribute to the industrialization of analytics, creating reproducible analysis and reports that can provide insight in a continuously moving environment

  • Identify opportunities for improvements through data analysis, and champion the usage of data to derive commercial insights and drive action across the business

  • Present results to key stakeholders

What we’re looking for from you…

  • Experience working in data visualisation and dashboard development, preferably in financial services or technology. Experience in international markets and/or fast-growing companies particularly valued.

  • Expert SQL skills, able to handle complex data structures from multiple sources (Big Data, conventional DBs) and different areas (digital, transactional, marketing…)

  • Strong experience building dashboard or self-serve tools, with preference for Tableau and Looker.

  • Strong analytical capability and evidence of being able to transform data into actionable insights.

  • Experience using mathematical/statistical methods to create models and/or forecasts. Familiarity with statistical software a plus, particularly R or Python.

What you’ll get from us...

  • Life assurance of 3 times your salary, should the worst happen.

  • Pension scheme offering 8% matched contributions.

  • Private medical and dental care plans.

  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 28 after 3 years.

  • Recharge days, 4 per year, 1 for each quarter

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Various dining and shopping offers
