About the role:

To be based in Oslo, Norway, we are seeking an innovative and dynamic digital content & sponsorship mastermind with an expert understanding of digital channels to support growth and partner content for Cognite’s corporate communications program, as well as for our fast-growing news and events platform, Ignite.

As Senior Content & Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for building exciting new partnerships with major industrial and technology leaders to co-create thought leadership content, source news & insights, participate as featured speakers at our events, and drive advertising revenue for our Ignite platform.

You should also be someone who can contribute to world-class content on your own and help drive digital content strategy & development. You would play a hands-on role in building a multi-media channel focused on industrial transformation, sustainability and technology, as well as take primary responsibility in ensuring that we have leading global sponsors and speakers at our flagship industry event, Ignite Talks.

You will work both with our marketing team as well as global external partners on a regular basis. Our marketing team will support you to push our content products in a new and impactful direction with the primary goal of growing an engaged global executive audience and deepening our ties to major industrial companies, renowned industry leaders, and domain experts.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate partnership development and/or account management as well as excellent writing skills and a proven track record of developing world-class editorial-style content. Experience on the business development side of media publications and/or in global media, PR & comms agencies is a plus.

What your day to day tasks will include:

  • Developing new business presentations and pitches for prospective advertisers, partners, executive thought leaders
  • Regular interactions with existing partners
  • Target tracking regarding ad & partner revenue
  • Creative collaboration with partners and customers and driving content ideation sessions
  • Dissecting industry trends and narratives to tell stories that are compelling and valuable
  • Working with our internal team as well as external executives to produce stories and multimedia assets
  • Curating, editing, and producing content for digital channels
  • Support the management of content submissions, both in terms of cadence and content quality
  • Championing a digital-first culture and bringing creative ideas to the table that help us continue to build our audiences


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field.
  • At least 4 years experience in an agency, newsroom or business development for media
  • Strong background in partner & client relationship management, preferably with focus in advertising and sponsorships
  • Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that drives thought leadership in strategic markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a native or native- command of the English language
  • Experience with content management and curation
