The Minted Merchandising team is responsible for driving sales by working closely with design submissions from our talented community of artists, as well as data from our analytics team,  to bring forth a balanced assortment of the freshest designs to inspire our customers. This team is also responsible for ensuring the shopping experience in their category is seamless, and the quality of designs rendered on the site flawless, to ensure the best customer experience possible.
As the Associate Merchandising Manager of the Baby & Kids category you will be responsible for managing all subcategories within the Baby & Kids business, including Birth Announcements, Baby Shower Invitations, Graduation Announcements, Kids’ Birthday Party Invitations and Back to School products. You will work cross-functionally with virtually all teams at Minted, and will have a chance to work with and present to the C Suite. You Will:

    • Manage all subcategories within the Baby & Kids business. Regularly refresh and optimize assortments using data and analysis drawn from Minted’s unique crowd curation model.
    • Drive revenue for your category, working cross-functionally to achieve sales and user experience. Own performance of each sub-category of product, as well as conversion and SKU-level productivity of merchandise.
    • Collaborate and execute the online merchandising of the relevant categories including filters, SKU organization and ranking, and optimizing the overall “shoppability” of assortments.
    • Maintain and enhance merchandise data, including basic product information, filter assignments, search tags, and related products.
    • Own onsite merchandising of category pages and curated landing pages.
    • Partner with the category Merchant to identify growth opportunities through competitive and customer analysis, including both in-store visits and online research.
    • Own weekly sales reporting, monitor key performance indicators and pull in relevant data to inform decision-making for the category.
    • Complete ad hoc analytical projects, as requested by the category merchant.
    • Coordinate with our Production team to ensure an on time and smooth launch of product assortments.
    • Partner with the Artist Relations team on recruitment, engagement and retention of artists in your subcategories.

    • A self-starter with an owner’s mindset and an ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while still paying attention to details and executing flawlessly.
    • Quantitatively oriented and an analytical thinker. The ideal candidate loves data and is able to analyze a problem, use data to articulate a recommendation, and take action accordingly.
    • Passionate about design and how it defines product. You have a keen eye and are able to speak intelligently about art and design.
    • A shopper or collector. You have strong natural retail insights and an understanding of how and why consumers use Minted products, informed by a personal interest in shopping or collecting design or fashion goods. You have a strong personal passion for Minted’s categories of products.
    • Results-driven, focused, and analytical. Outstanding follow-up, organization, and time management skills.
    • A passionate customer advocate. You are ready to put the customer first and influence others across the company to think similarly.
    • Excited to work in a collaborative team environment and are motivated to ask questions.

You Have:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of work relevant experience in e-commerce, merchandising, retail, art & design and/or category management.
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.A love for design and strong quantitative skills.
    • An intuitive understanding of not only what will sell, but also what constitutes truly differentiated and high-quality design.
    • A love for data and the ability to analyze a problem, using data to articulate a recommendation, and take action accordingly.
    • A clear understanding of financial retail measurements and how to impact them.
    • Experience in e-commerce and understanding of e-commerce performance metrics and conversion drivers are a plus.
    • A clear understanding of Minted’s crowdsourcing model and how it differs from traditional retail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
