The Producer / Content Editor (Product and Client Management) develops learning programmes across a range of media on a wide range of topics, primarily for a schools audience. These include SaaS courses and bespoke custom-made programmes for a range of clients. The role involves content development and supporting the steps in the product development process from proposal to launch in schools, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring successful products to market.

Responsibilities (aka Essential Functions)

  • Develop content for educational programmes including but not limited to content scoping, copy writing and editing, and proofreading.
  • Prepare briefs for other teams and suppliers such as commissioning writers, briefing design, film and digital teams on product requirements, managing translation agencies, printers or distribution houses.
  • Share content with clients and teacher reviewers, collect and manage feedback received, and complete required edits to typescripts and designs’ mark ups for revision by designers.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and issues in a timely and effective manner in consultation with Senior Producer/Account Director
  • Upload content to websites via a content management system (CMS) and test websites and SaaS products to deliver high quality to customers.
  • Assist with generating ideas for proposals and new projects
  • Run educational competitions and challenges for schools/young people. This includes but is not limited to handling entries, shortlisting, sourcing prizes and administering the competitions..
  • Review content produced by other teams, e.g. marketing material and, film scripts, for accuracy and relevance to the core project content.
  • Contribute to regular status calls/meetings, set up project schedules, write status reports and meeting minutes, create and update data reports
  • Process supplier invoices against project budget
  • Contribute to team and company-wide tasks including. writing award entries, writing case studies, organising team meetings.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in publishing, digital, education or other similar roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised and ability to maintain systems and records/reports.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities.
  • Strong presentation skills preferred.
  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) or other digital tools preferred.
  • Experience working with clients and external stakeholders preferred.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the UK education system preferred.
