The Role:

As the Principal Recruiter/Director of Recruiting, you’ll play a key role in building one of the most innovative start-ups in the ML/AI Data Platform space. You will have the unique opportunity to scale with the organization and play a pivotal role in building our talent acquisition strategy. In this role, you will partner with company executives to help build and sustain a high performing organization as it transitions from early stage through significant growth over the next several years.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Exude an intense passion for talent acquisition covering all aspects of the business from CxO to graduate new hires
  • Own full-cycle recruitment which encompasses sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates up to the executive level
  • Help build a world-class onboarding experiences for new employees to welcome them to our company, introduce them to our culture, and enable them to be productive and have an impact
  • Own the ATS (Greenhouse) which includes opening and closing reqs, working candidates through the process and reporting
  • Partner with hiring managers, people ops and executives in order to align compensation to talent strategy
  • Lead the translation of the company's strategy into thoughtful and innovative talent management plans and objectives
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding talent acquisition by advising your hiring teams on best practices
  • Be a champion of Pachyderm’s operating principles and unique company culture

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a full-cycle recruiting including engineering, sales and G&A
  • A technical aptitude and an ability to speak conversationally with candidates about a multitude of different engineering roles
  • An exceptional ability to read resumes and identify a skill-set match
  • A proven track record of effective sourcing strategies for high demand, competitive candidate profiles and partnering with all levels of the organization
  • Successfully run strategic recruiting projects that enable the team to hit their hiring goals
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring newer recruiters and building out a broader talent acquisition team
  • Command of metrics including pipeline data, hiring forecast, and recruiting capacity
  • Ensuring a seamless experience for internal teams, candidates, and new hires
  • Successful track record in building, implementing, and sustaining key talent management initiatives and showing direct, positive linkages to the achievement of business strategy
  • Experience working with leaders to set and achieve hiring goals, strategize effectively, budget appropriately, and build a cohesive, strong team
  • Tool expertise in Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Calendar, MacOS or other related recruiting tools
  • Improving and developing existing/new processes to scale exponentially, including but not limited to applications, sourcing, scheduling, phone screens, in person interviews, and handoff to onboarding team
