Job Description

The Company

Qventus provides a real-time decision-making platform for hospital operations. Our mission is to simplify how healthcare operates, so that hospitals and caregivers can focus on delivering the best possible care to patients. We use artificial intelligence and machine learning to create products and solutions that help nurses, doctors, and hospital staff anticipate issues and make operational decisions proactively. We work with leading public, academic and community hospitals across the United States.

Qventus works with leading public, academic and community hospitals across the United States. The company was recognized by the 2019 Black Book Awards in healthcare for patient flow and by CB Insights as a 2019 top 100 Most Promising Company in Artificial Intelligence. Recently, Qventus won the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Emergency Response for the Healthcare System Innovation Challenge through its work helping health systems across the country plan for and operate in the COVID pandemic.

The Role

The Solutions Architect will lead and execute the most critical component of our deployment process - data integration and validation. Our software depends on reliable, real-time and historical data from our clients. The Solution Architect will work closely with hospital IT staff and Qventus technical operations team to select an appropriate integration strategy, build necessary interfaces on the Qventus side, and validate proper receipt and ingestion of data feeds. This person will have the opportunity to shape future approaches and best practices for integration and will be expected to contribute this strategic thinking in addition to execution.

Core Responsibilities

    • Own data integration design and execution for multiple acute care modalities with focus on Inpatient, Operating Room, and Emergency Department data.
    • Complete and iterate data validation with the Implementation Manager and customer resources.
    • Participate in customer facing meetings as the SME for any data integration interactions.
    • Translate complex workflow/data confluences into robust integrations.
    • Support a 24/7 integration ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with Data Science and Data Platform teams to enable quality model development and deployment.
    • Simultaneously manage multiple complex projects for multiple facility customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of experience developing and supporting production integrations.
    • HL7 v2.x mastery.
    • 2 to 3 years SQL experience.
    • 2 to 3 years with Enterprise Acute EHR project experience.

Nice to have's:

    • Housewide acute care workflow exposure.
    • EHR implementation experience.
    • Mirth or Rhapsody development experience.
    • Unix/Linux server administration.
    • API integration experience.

Additional candidates attributes that are highly desired:

    • Someone who enjoys defining a method to the madness. People call on you to organize messy situations at work.
    • The ability to demonstrate leadership towards challenging situations. You run towards the challenge head on instead of waiting for it to come to you.
    • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can make ‘gut’ decisions without all the information, course correcting and maintaining momentum with team members to keep going.
    • You want to contribute at any level to drive a task to completion. There’s nothing ‘beneath’ you, as long as you’re helping out.
