Luminar Technologies is seeking a Lead Integration Engineer to integrate Luminar’s software and hardware deliveries with those of our project partners into a joint software/hardware product and solution that can be deployed to our customers. You will be responsible for creating the deployment architecture in which individual contributors’ artifacts will be delivered, in binary or source code form, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for successful product integration and automation in Luminar’s CI/CD architecture and test vehicles. This includes the definition and supervision of test strategies for the final product, in simulation, on the test track, and on public roads, and conducting demos for internal and customer stakeholders. *We are interviewing and on-boarding candidates completely virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our team is currently entirely working from home, except for those individuals carrying out ‘essential’ business activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build up (or modify existing) delivery architecture to accommodate binary and/or source code delivery between all contributing partners
  • Integrate source and binary software deliveries from several partners on existing CI/CD system and integrate with Luminar's testing framework
  • Specify and supervise automated and continuous integration and test of Luminar and partner deliveries
  • Specify and supervise test vehicle buildup to run integrated software on different vehicle architectures
  • Apply and test integrated software to various vehicle architectures, on test track and public roads
  • Support Business Development by performing internal and customer demos
  • Contribute to building up a small team of engineers by participating in interviews and advising Recruiting and Management
  • Technically coordinating a small team of engineers

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS or higher in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in Software and Systems Architecture and Systems Integration
  • Hands-on experience with state-of-the art software pipeline tools like Git, Jenkins, CMake, Artifactory
  • Hands-on experience developing and harmonizing software component and hardware interfaces and integrating software/hardware systems
  • Hands-on experience specifying and orchestrating integration tests on module and system level with unit testing frameworks, simulation, and on vehicle level
  • Able to work successfully in cross-functional teams, especially across organizational and geographical boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with customers, in business development or project contexts
  • Experience in software and systems architecture, functional safety, and SOTIF
