Job Description

SimplePractice is seeking a Pricing Manager to drive pricing and packaging strategy across our suite of new and existing solutions, as well as collaborate with internal stakeholders on product decisions and market research. The Pricing Manager will regularly meet with senior leadership to discuss current and potential initiatives to accelerate top-line growth.

A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, and data-driven. They will have a frontline obsession with understanding who our customers are, and our dedication to always putting our customers best interest first. The Pricing Manager  will bring a collaborative and curious approach to developing long-term pricing and packaging strategies that will drive business growth.

What you'll do day-to-day

Pricing & packaging

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic pricing and packaging projects for all products, including core practice management
  • Test pricing and packaging hypotheses, providing recommendations to leadership and product teams
  • Use financial modeling to pressure test hypotheses, estimate business impacts, and determine forecasting inputs
  • Monitor industry trends and changes 
  • Ensure SimplePractice is constantly delivering the highest value product to users while also maintaining a streamlined purchasing experience (great UX is at the heart of everything we do, including customer billing)


  • Work closely with product to ensure product design and packaging work together
  • Help product teams design the SimplePractice of the future by prioritizing features which are valued by users


  • Collaborate with Marketing to educate customers on the why to effectively prepare customer communications 
  • Provide guidance on how to best display pricing on a webpage

Market research

  • In addition to pricing, packaging and product, work with teams across SimplePractice to design and launch voice-of-customer research in support of various initiatives
  • Maintain regular “health check” surveys on SimplePractice pricing, packaging, and more

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in either consulting with a focus on pricing, sales, & marketing or in a go-to-market role at a subscription tech company with experience in pricing and packaging
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or other quantitative fields preferred
  • Professional experience with SaaS pricing models and economics preferred
  • Strong quantitative analytical and data modeling skills; basic financial or business modeling required
  • Passion to work at a fast moving and innovative growth company
  • Able to effectively communicate with senior management
  • Experience with pricing and packaging design and optimization
  • Market research experience, especially with pricing and packaging focused techniques
  • Experience with A/B testing techniques and design
  • Excellent G Suite and Excel skills
  • Willingness to stretch, adapt, and work with multiple internal stakeholders
