Job Description

About You:

      • Are you a creative leader and active collaborator, someone who thrives on breaking down silos to capture organizational synergies?
      • Do you have the ability to inspire cross functional teams and external agencies to bring to life their visions?

      • Are you nimble, agile and excited to build and evolve the creative vision of a rapidly growing team?
 

Your Key Performance Objectives:

      • Champion the Brand: Differentiate our brand through best-in-class creative that delivers on both emotional and functional messaging to drive affinity and growth. 
 
      • Drive Brand Strategy: Evolve and implement The Wing’s brand book and creative toolkit, including brand attributes, descriptors, tone of voice, logos, color palette, visual design system, and guidelines.
 
      • Develop Best-in-Class Creative: Oversee creative development for a wide range of brand touchpoints, audiences, and campaigns, including landing pages, email, digital advertising, social, and events. Review all copy and design work to ensure that the brand is communicated consistently and effectively.
 
      • Build an In-House Team: Hire and effectively manage, mentor and inspire the creative design and brand teams ensuring its culture, capabilities and processes support The Wing’s strategic objectives. Engage freelance and agency resources as needed.
 
      • Foster Cross-Functionality: Partner with cross-functional departments (Operations, Product, etc.) to develop creative briefs and deliver campaigns and assets that tell compelling stories and achieve business objectives.
 
      • Guide Creative Production: Own the end-to-end creative production process, from brief through final delivery. Build efficient project management systems and internal processes to prioritize inbound requests and ensure work gets done on time and on budget.
 
      • Test & Iterate: Implement a data-first approach to creative, utilizing data and member insights to both inform and evaluate creative, continuously learning and iterating based on performance.
 
      • Think Big: Ideate outside-the-box creative concepts for campaigns that build, inspire, and ignite our membership-base.
 

You Have Proven Performance In:

      • 5-7 years of experience, preferably in a creative agency, brand or brand studio environment
      • 3+ years people management experience required
      • Your past roles were in fast-paced, creative environments and you love that kind of atmosphere
      • You’ve demonstrated an ability to move quickly and comfortably between multiple projects, managing them from start to finish, knowing where bottlenecks can occur and how to avert them
      • You have a strong command of language and a critical eye for copy’s vital role in delivering great creative assets
      • You have demonstrated an ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team of creative professionals
      • You have proven your talent for managing, mentoring and inspiring a creative team
      • You fully grasp and can apply current creative trends in experiential, digital and direct marketing
      • You've earned a B.A/B.F.A in Graphic Design, Art, Advertising or another related field
      • You are adept at using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other Creative Studio applications
      • You have web design experience and an excellent understanding of the technical possibilities and limitations of web design
      • You've successfully managed multiple complex projects
