POSITION SUMMARY:

Sound Physicians combines a high-performance model with engaged providers to drive reproducible results across the acute episode of care – through hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, population health, advisory services, and telemedicine.

Sound Physicians’ Finance team has an exciting opportunity with the potential to make a large impact on the organization.

The Financial Analyst will work in a matrixed environment and will support Budgeting/Reporting/Forecasting and Corporate Finance.  The position reports to the Finance Manager and will have dotted line reporting to the Director Financial Reporting & Analysis.  It will also often interact with the VP of Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Corporate Finance
    • Cash flow analysis, forecasting and reporting (working collaboratively with Treasury, Accounting, and Revenue Cycle)
    • Financial analysis
    • Assisting in updating and developing long-term forecasts / models
    • Assisting in special projects and ad-hoc analysis for the Executive Leadership Team
  • Budgeting/Reporting/Forecasting
    • Supporting month end close, G&A reporting and analysis, etc.
    • Adaptive report creation such as FINOPs, Accounting tie outs and G&A reports
    • Supporting Internal and External Monthly Reporting
    • Monthly reporting around new/termed sites, headcount, new business, etc.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting inputs and reporting
    • Supporting Internal Controls within Finance
    • Ad hoc data pulls, reporting and presentations

 

EXPERIENCE / SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and organized
  • Positive attitude, team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexible approach
  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Self-starter and persistent problem solver with the ability to make progress in a fluid and fast paced environment
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting including but not limited to financial statements, expenses vs. capitalization, discounted cash flow analysis, return on investment, etc.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Adaptive Planning and PowerBI preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 years related experience in FP&A

 

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
