Are you an experienced cloud engineer with a good understanding of all IaaC automation tools/techniques? Are you fluent implementing automation pipelines? Comfortable with Docker/Kubernetes? Working with different cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) does not scare you? If so, we may be looking for you.
The Architecture & Innovation Team is in charge of leading the evolution of Devo’s architecture, as well as exploring innovative ideas which might benefit the platform, and taking them to production in collaboration with development and operation teams.
At the AIT, we’re looking for someone able to take care of the team’s infrastructure/environments, as well as help us exploring/trying new approaches to improve our overall architecture and infra-related processes so that they are easier and smoother for everyone.

Responsibilities

    • Manage team’s infra/envs.
    • Analyze production infra to identify points of architectural improvement.
    • Analyze current infra-related processes to identify points of procedural improvement.
    • Explore ways to better containerize our services.
    • Work with development teams in order to understand different components’ deployment/configuration needs.
    • Work with operations teams in order to understand platform operation/monitoring needs.
    • Advocate best practices when it comes to Cloud Native Architectures, and everything related to infra processes.
    • Triage / Investigate / Resolve infra automation problems.
    • Help improve automated tests, for what regards infra processes.
    • Anything unexpected which is needed (we’re an innovation team!).

Requirements

    • Good linux user & administration knowledge.
    • Solid understanding of networks and TCP/IP.
    • Management and tuning of basic services such as; webservers, appservers, dbs, proxies, dns, etc. 
    • Confident in shell/python scripting.
    • Knowledge of usual CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Nexus, Git etc.).
    • Knowledge of some provisioning tool (terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.).
    • Knowledge of some configuration management tool (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    • Knowledge about containers technology (Docker).
    • Knowledge about some container orchestrator (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, etc.).
    • Good communication skills and capacity to articulate complex problems/procedures in a clear fashion.

Background experience

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, relevant to Computer Science.
    • Minimum of 4 years of cloud-related work experience / Desired +7 years.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience using AWS.
    • Minimum of 2 years of programming/scripting in any language.
    • Not required, but nice to have:Experience using Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
    • AWS certifications or similar.
