About The Position

The Area Vice President of Sales, East will report to the Americas Vice President and be responsible for building and leading the East region sales team. In this role you will have a seat at the leadership table as we build the next great global cyber security company.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, the East team and grow the Deep Instinct footprint across the area
  • Drive sales planning and forecasting for the Region
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed corporate goals
  • Meet with key clients, and mentor sales representatives to build and maintain relationships while negotiating and closing a wide range of opportunities
  • Lead and manage a high performance, customer focused team
  • Coach direct reports in sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management and career planning/development
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of competitors' activities and competitive offerings
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
  • Build and leverage key internal and external relationships that lead to accelerating business growth
  • Provide input to Executive stakeholders on product and solution direction



Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
  • Must have at least 10+ years of successful sales and 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably within Cyber Security
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment desired
  • Process oriented and analytical approach to inspecting and running the business
  • Track record of consistently achieving quota and strategic objectives
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales with C-level decision makers
  • Ability to recruit, develop and retain top talent
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills in a cyber security environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with exceptional selling skills and proven track record
  • Problem resolution skills and strong initiative
  • We-first vs. Me-first attitude
  • A leader that works with integrity, transparency and no latency at all times
  • Executive level communication skills
  • Ability to leverage and build executive relationships within key East area targets
