Position: Senior Accounting Manager

Overview: The Senior Accounting Manager will own the internal accounting function alongside a team of outsourced accounting contractors tasked with establishing a scalable, efficient, and high-powered department that can provide accurate, insightful, and relevant information to support all company functions in a hyper-growth environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all Accounting Operations, including revenue recognition, expenses, cash, A/R and billing, prepaids/fixed assets, A/P, accruals/credit cards, equity, and payroll
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and associated reporting packages
  • Oversee internal accounting team and third-party accounting contractors
  • Manage annual audit process in accordance GAAP
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Manage current ERP systems
  • Implement new processes to automate accounting
  • Prepare and manage all regulatory reporting and research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance
  • Additional accounting responsibilities as needed in a start-up environment

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations
  • Proven experience in a mid-level accounting position at a SaaS start-up
  • Degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Licensed CPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
  • Significant experience with accounting and ERP systems (Quickbooks Enterprise, Bill.com, Nexonia, Gusto, etc.)
  • Experience managing audits and ASC 606 compliance
  • Experience with reviewing financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
