At Fauna, we're helping developers build fearlessly by providing a secure, operations-free, and maintenance-free, serverless data API with global consistency. We're disrupting a $40B+ operational database market, and we’re just getting started. We have 40,000+ developers using our product. You’ll be working with a talented team of people who have built highly successful companies and globally-distributed systems at companies such as Twitter, Okta, AWS, Microsoft, and Oracle.

In this role, we’re looking for an analytical, data-driven product marketer with experience infrastructure-centric SaaS products to help execute on our product-led GTM. Reporting to the CMO, this is a transformative opportunity that lets you drive and contribute to all aspects of the function, ranging from pricing and packaging to positioning and messaging, release and launch, content strategy, demand generation, and sales enablement.

To accomplish your goals, you will work closely with the Product, Sales, and Engineering as well as build relationships with customers, to gain insights and formulate plans, and drive consensus. You will be creative, yet analytical, thorough, and precise in your approach, revel in driving business through all available channels.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain the positioning, messaging, and competitive framework for our target markets, measure and iterate.
  • Quarterback launch of new features and the development of supporting assets including blogs, decks, blogs, press materials, analyst updates.
  • Partner with our data and demand generation team to identify ICPs and build acquisition campaigns for each, alongside the buyer journey for each.
  • Contribute to the marketing website with web copy, feature pages, land pages, blogs, comparisons etc.
  • Contribute to ideation and formulation of integrated channel campaigns (emails, ads, webinars, social etc.) as the technical subject matter expert within marketing.
  • Coordinate and deliver sales enablement for key business initiatives and support sales activities with content and product expertise as necessary.
  • Build and maintain customer stories, quotes, and related marketing materials to establish Fauna’s value proposition and ROI.
  • Work with product management to execute on packaging and pricing to keep Fauna competitive in the market while driving revenue.

Requirements

What You Will Bring:

  • Passion for databases and early stage environments, a collaborative approach to working, willingness to experiment, and metrics-driven execution.
  • 4+ years as a product marketer for infrastructure SaaS with experience in product-led environments, or willingness to learn.
  • Computer science degree(s) with an MBA or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Rigor with words, positioning and messaging, with hands-on knowledge of the various positioning frameworks popular in the industry.
  • Experience in orchestrating successful product launches and supporting activities such as content for blogs, press releases and analyst briefings.
  • Experience with campaign ideation, and content-led buyer journeys for self-serve GTM models.
  • Hands-on experience in executing all aspects of sales enablement, including competitive positioning, release training, deal support etc.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with a command of grammar, and constructs for technical writing for blogs, articles, web copy etc.
  • Structured approach, resourcefulness, curiosity, keen sense for web/graphics design, communication skills and the emotional intelligence to excel in distributed startup environments.
  • Bonus points for public speaking experience and desire to present in small and large groups, meetups and conferences
