REE is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Finance Manager to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the company’s success by being responsible for our end-to-end finance processes. This is a unique opportunity to join a deep tech startup and shape a function to make it scalable for our future growth. You will interact closely with the leadership team as well as the wider organization.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing financial reports for board meetings
  • Helping build and maintain our financial projections
  • Driving annual and quarterly budgeting processes, producing rolling forecasts
  • Creating and continuously improving transparent KPI reporting, incl. plan/actual variance analysis
  • Driving our preparatory accounting and taking responsibility of accounts payable
  • Ensuring rapid monthly and annual closing in collaboration with our external accountants
  • Providing ad hoc business analysis to support management decisions
  • Continuously improving internal finance structures and processes to improve efficiency and scalability
The Profile:
  • Degree in business economics/administration or a similar degree with a focus on Controlling/Finance/Accounting
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in finance, ideally in a startup environment
  • Good German knowledge (C1)
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Good understanding and experience building Financial Statements
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • High sense of responsibility and quality orientation, also and especially high attention to detail
  • You are ‘hands on’ and you have a ‘can do attitude’
  • Results oriented and highly accurate working style, with the ability to work under pressure whilst meeting deadlines
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of German accounting principles
  • DATEV / Datev Unternehmen Online knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with BWA reports
  • First experience managing direct reports
