Job Description

We are currently seeking fun-loving, creative and self-motivated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to serve families living in and around Colorado Springs. In order to promote your success as an RBT at Gateway, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and will be paired with a dedicated mentor from day one. With that support as your foundation, you will be prepared to work with children of all ages within their home, school and community settings.
Part-time (afternoon) positions available!
Candidates must be available a minimum of 3 weekdays, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Registered Behavior Technician: $1,000
Implement Client Treatment Plans under the supervision of clinical leadership team members.
Implement individualized intervention in the reduction of child’s behavioral challenges and promotion of skill acquisition using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills. This may include toilet training, eating, and other self-help skills.
Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients, primarily young children, some of whom can display aggressive and/or violent behavior.
Provide accurate and consistent availability and inform cancellations of any upcoming changes.
Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes on client’s progress vis-à-vis individual behavior plan, in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner. Report progress regarding client performance and behavior with a high level of accuracy, consistency, and organization.
Adhere to company’s attendance and tardiness policies. Must be physically present on-time, minimizing session cancellations at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
Participate in client clinical team meetings, & staff training and staff development days.
Perform as a collaborative member of a behavioral team, including both school district and nonpublic agency staff, to ensure delivery of high-quality interventions in all environments.
Provide feedback regarding client progress to clinical leadership team members.
Educate parents/caregivers to on the correct implementation of behavior intervention principles.
Communicate clearly, respectfully and openly with all team members, clients, and their parents/caregivers or other stakeholders, as assigned.
Comply with all company policies, including mandatory reporting of child health & safety concerns as described in company's employee handbook.
Ability to accept constructive performance feedback and develop knowledge / skill sets accordingly.
Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing/dress, grooming, hair.
Effectively respond to and manage crisis situations which may include client physical aggression.
Comply with all Gateway company policies and procedures.
Have the ability to regularly walk, stand, or squat, crouch, bend, stoop, sit on the ground, and stand up from the ground or floor, for extended periods of time.
Regularly kneel, crawl on the floor, and sit in child-sized chairs, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may require running or otherwise moving quickly.
Exhibit manual dexterity to regularly enter data into a computer/tablet/phone; regularly use a computer/tablet/phone to view electronic screens.
Specific vision abilities / visual acuity required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Be able to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Specific auditory abilities required include perceiving the nature of sounds at normal to below normal speaking levels with or without correction, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discrimination in sound, spatial awareness of sounds and speech at a variety of volume levels, often in background noise.
Be able to speak in a manner easily understood.
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have reliable, HiPPA compliant transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job / client sites within his/her assigned Region.
Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License & auto insurance, both in good standing, be capable of driving a motor vehicle regularly.
Comprehensive paid training in ABA (40 hr initial RBT training) along with in-field observations, coaching, and ongoing monthly trainings.
Weekly supervision and feedback by a BCBA.
