Job Description

About the role

Architect and engineer a cybersecurity solution to protect Linux workloads; analyze the cybersecurity market with particular emphasis on past, current, and potential customers in order to understand market drivers and opportunities; direct and manage engineering teams and operational teams on the timely and efficient delivery of all artifacts needed to properly communicate business requirements to engineering team (such as functional and non-functional requirements); create the technical roadmap for cybersecurity market products to ensure it reflects both business priorities and target market priorities; develop and communicate regular updates to the business, driving buy-in and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that these updates align to the Chief Product Officer’s strategy; coordinate and collaborate with the Executive Team to ensure product issues are timely and appropriately resolved and that company’s architecture and support are effective; manage the processes of engineering teams and operational teams and the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering and development projects; collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components; assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand; develop or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work; establish scientific or technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management’s direct recruitment, placement, and evaluation of architecture or engineering project staff; design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability; collaborate with system architects, software architects, design analysts, and others to understand business or industry requirements; develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures; set up database clusters, backup, or recovery processes; engineer high performance and availability solutions; develop containerized environments and solutions for LINUX configurations and behaviors, as well as LINUX perf and EBPF capabilities; verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture; develop system engineering, software engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures; identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs; design improvements in security systems or procedures; engineer, install, maintain, or repair security systems, programmable logic controls, or other security-related electronic systems, AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environment and provider architecture, manage and direct engineering teams and processes.

Supervises: 30 (Engineering team who are developing/coding the product, Senior Engineers, Engineers)

Requirements:  

10 years of experience in the development and design of software systems and applications. 

*Specific skills and other requirements:  

10 years of experience in each of the following:  

  • Senior engineering of high performance and availability solutions
  • Operational teams
  • Development management

2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Containerized environments
  • AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environment and provider architecture
  • LINUX configurations and behaviors 
  • Managing and directing engineering teams and processes

1 year of experience in each of the following:

  • LINUX perf and EBPF capabilities
