We’re recruiting a Director of Business Development to lead strategic integrations that create value for Flowspace and its partners and clients. 
More than just a “partnerships” role, this position will source and execute major opportunities for Flowspace that improve its offering, accelerate revenue growth and profitability, and further Flowspace’s mission to transform the logistics industry.
The ideal candidate has a fundamental understanding of 3PL as well as experience in business, corporate, and strategic partner development.
While we're based on the westside of Los Angeles, we are open to hiring remotely (within the US) for this role.

What you'll do

    • Identify, recruit and execute partner agreements with complementary platforms and services that expand Flowspace’s topline revenue and profitability
    • Grow a pipeline of prospective partners that are strategically aligned with Flowspace’s vision for transforming the logistics industry
    • Perform due diligence on partners in coordination with responsible parties inside Flowspace
    • Utilize outside partnerships to enter new verticals and market segments to extend Flowspace’s reach beyond its current customer sets
    • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, business development, partnerships, sales, policy, legal, marketing, and PR to launch products and partnerships
    • Advise customers and commercial sales teams on the value of partners, engagement, and recommend qualified partners to support customer needs
    • Expand existing Flowspace network footprint as well as drive new customer engagements to grow overall revenue with a focus on business outcomes
    • Steer the development, adoption and scaling of new verticals and business opportunities
    • Perform research into the financial and operational drivers of businesses in the fulfillment sector and for new verticals & capabilities
    • Develop long term business plans alongside our collaborators and customers to grow our businesses together

Who we're looking for

    • Experience in business development, building growth strategies and verticals
    • Experience building and implementing partnerships in technology or SaaS; 3PL knowledge or experience a bonus
    • Ability to navigate and negotiate contracts in a complex and dynamic environment
    • Deep commitment to beneficial stakeholder engagement, matching internal strategic goals to outside organizations that provide the most value for Flowspace
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
    • Have a holistic view of the 3PL industry - competitors and complements, with a deep understanding of the partner capabilities
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, Masters Degree or MBA preferred
    • 10+ years of experience in consulting, finance, strategy, business development or operations experience
    • 5+ years of leadership and management experience
    • Strong analytical and execution background - ability to identify and implement growth opportunities
    • Self-directed individual who thrives on change and prioritizes effectively
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, you are comfortable drafting documents internally and externally
    • Business Development and Partnerships experience a plus
    • High-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plus
