About the work:

  • Lead and grow a team of the very top talent in data science and data analytics pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the home care industry
  • Set the vision and prioritize the team’s work, make difficult trade-offs between business constraints and timely delivery of high-quality projects
  • Work closely with PM team to ship data projects to production and drive measurable operational improvements
  • Be a key member of the Product Leadership team (with PM, Engineering, Design)
  • Examples of data science work the team does:
    • Develop predictive models that help optimize operational workflows, including staffing and matching
    • Help understand and improve customer and caregiver retention
    • Design and interpret tests to evaluate product features and operational changes
    • Develop new techniques and data that will enable answering previously unanswerable and new questions
    • Design and build data infrastructure by partnering with the production engineering team
  • Examples of analytics work the team does:
    • Collaborate with all business functions to define metrics and prioritize data needs
    • Provide reliable and usable access to data sets and analytics reporting
    • Build and maintain data pipelines, storage infrastructure, and BI tools

About you:

  • 4+ years experience building and leading excellent teams of data scientists, data engineers, and analysts
  • Experience bridging data science with product to impact top level business goals
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator who can work well with various stakeholder groups and levels of the organization
  • Experience influencing leadership so that your team’s work directly impacts business outcomes
  • Experience with marketplace operations, pricing/incentives, matching a plus

What’s next?

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Moving forward, no roles will require permanent relocation, but as conditions allow, we'll have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA and Austin, TX hubs.
