Job Description

Our partner is a leading provider of HR software solutions to SMBs across the United States.  By working closely with Check, this company will launch a payroll offering to its large customer base.  As part of this effort, Check is helping our partner build their payroll sales team.

The Job
Our Partner is committed to innovation and launching new products to serve customers’ ever evolving needs.  As a founding member of their Payroll Sales team, you’ll construct and finetune a sales engine that drives high adoption of new products.
 
You’ll practice consultative selling each day. You’ll discover customer needs, emerge as an expert advisor, demo product capabilities, and guide prospects through product onboarding and training. You’ll champion the follow up—creatively using all the tools at your disposal to help busy small business owners complete product implementation.
 
As a direct partner to Product, Operations and Marketing, your insights will inform improvements to the payroll product and processes. Your contributions will set us up to scale rapidly and build a large, thriving payroll business line. As one of the first members of the Payroll Sales team, you will help us chart the path for future new hires to the team!

Responsibilities

    • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, driving enough customers to new product adoption to hit your goals
    • Work closely with product team to provide actionable feedback on the product and customer needs
    • Work collaboratively with marketing team to identify targets, execute mass marketing campaigns, and improve sales collateral
    • Guide customers, step-by-step if necessary, through the new product implementation process to ensure their first use of the product is a success
    • Partner with the payroll operations team to address and resolve any implementation issues a customer may be facing during the set-up phase

Must Haves

    • 3+ years of customer success, sales or implementation experience
    • 2+ years of experience selling software as a service 
    • Proven track record of pipeline development and management 
    • Proven success in the SMB space with a focus on those with hourly workers including but not limited to Hospitality, Healthcare and Logistics
    • Strong outbound dialing habits and ability to create customer connection over the phone. Email is great, however dialing the phone still works best
Our team is distributed across the US, with hubs in New York City, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
