Luxury Department
The Luxury department manages four websites across the THG portfolio – Coggles, Allsole, MyBag and the flagship facia theHut.com. The Brand portfolio across the sites range from accessible through to high end Luxury. One of the smallest teams in THG, this is a busy, fast-paced environment with each team member actively involved with driving the success of the division
Main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Working with the buying team to develop the product range from concept to final product for the Homeware category and to be able to show this in season presentations.
Use their technical / innovative knowledge to create concept + design through to the delivery of the final product. To push this forward season on season.
The development of the design will be necessary. Working with the team and liaising with factories to ensure product is delivered on time and to a high standard.
To be able to complement the design with the sourcing of trims and fabrics, whilst sticking to a price point.
Being at the forefront of market trends both internally and externally
Keeping up to date with knowledge of new factories and techniques used for fabrics, finished etc
Supporting the manufacture base with any technical issues during production
Keeping critical paths up to date throughout the season
Developing and presenting trend boards and colour palettes at the start of each season, in some cases this may be across multiple lifestyle categories.
Carrying out in depth competitor & directional shop research, updating trends, colour and fabric information as required to ensure our ranges are in line with the industry
Requirements
Degree in design/textile/print
Experience in designing homeware ranges across a variety of different textiles at high street level or premium level
Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process within textiles
Strong adobe skills in photoshop / illustrator.
Confident and clear communication skills at all levels and desire to build strong working relationships
The desire to improve ways of working and innovate, drive, enthusiasm and self-motivation
Adaptability and flexibility to thrive within this fast-growing business
Ability to produce CAD work including design packs, artworks, graphics, prints and packaging
Strong attention to detail
