Cognite’s European sales team is looking for tenacious Account Development Representatives to join our growing sales team in Oslo. With siloed data being a major pain point for industrial companies; the Manufacturing sector has huge potential for Cognite globally and we’re looking for talented individuals to help expand our customer base within Manufacturing. This role is one of the first touchpoints for prospects and key resellers. It has the opportunity to set the tone for the sales cycle following.

The ADR team consists of a team of 3 people, with plans to expand to 6 within the next few months.

What you’ll need to do:

  • Penetrate target accounts with a multi-channel approach, qualify prospects, schedule demonstrations and meetings for your team
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Work closely with account executives to develop account intelligence, stakeholder maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools
  • Effectively partner and work across the Cognite’s teams
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone, email, and social media.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Cognite’s product offerings
  • Shadow your dedicated Account Executive in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skills you’ll need for your next role on Cognite’s sales team.
  • Proactively work with Product Marketing to create personalized and relevant messages to key stakeholders within target accounts and develop outreach tactics
  • Strive to continuously improve and optimize our outbound and inbound efforts
  • Conduct diligent research and account planning for target accounts.
  • Effectively partner with Marketing team to support marketing campaigns with preliminary communication and post-campaign follow up to drive engagement with target accounts
  • What you’ll need:
  • At least 1-2 years experience with sales development within the technology space
  • A BA/BS degree
  • Experience with prospecting through the use of sales tools: Salesforce, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities or Manufacturing is an advantage
  • Language: English (required), any other language (bonus)
  • Motivated to design and optimize the best practices for this role to be used internationally within Cognite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • The capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business value that can be provided by Cognite
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving production goals from an assigned territory or set of accounts
  • Motivated to learn about our Manufacturing vertical
