Position Summary

You will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. Where necessary you’ll provides tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes as defined by the Agile Practice Office for code through development, test, and production environments. The Release Manager function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of product management as they create the functional product architecture that will help identify cross-team dependencies that will need to be managed during the release cycle.

This position also works with IT, Agile Practice and Product Development management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously delivering quality software.

The Release Management responsibilities also include working closely with the managers from across IT & Product Development in centralizing views of all releases. The Release Manager assists in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities 

  • Owns the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise working with Product Development, Product Management, Professional Services, Support, Security and Platform Operations
  • Coordination and knowledge transfer from Product Development to the rest of the organization
  • Coordination of work between engineering teams focusing on risks and interdependencies
  • Partners with Principle Product Owner on interface with PM including representing release capacity during elaboration / prioritization and driving towards milestone
  • Communicates release schedules / commitments / process to stakeholders and customers
  • Communicate release health and changes as needed
  • Kicks off and helps facilitate Planning and Readout ceremonies
  • Centralizes and manages views / reporting around releases.

Required Knowledge & Skills 

  • 2+ years Agile program management experience using Scrum
  • Experience with Agile ALM like Rally, Jira and etc.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with other teams
  • Strong ability to foster and maintain a positive and creative work team
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree

The estimated compensation for this position includes an annual salary between $75,000 to $85,000 with an annual bonus opportunity of 10% and participation in Welltok’s equity program.
