Job Description

Wheels Up is a leading aviation company that connects fliers to private aircraft—and one another—to deliver exceptional, personalized experiences. With the Wheels Up App, anyone can search, book, and fly on private aircraft from the world’s largest marketplace of safety-vetted and verified planes, totaling over 1,500, whenever they have a travel need. It’s as easy as booking an Uber or an Airbnb. Our fleet includes 300+ owned and managed aircraft as well as 1,250+ approved partner aircraft, comprising King Air 350i and Light, Midsize, Super-Mid, and Large-Cabin Jets.

In February 2021, Wheels Up entered into a merger agreement with a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) called Aspirational Consumer Lifestyle Corp., in order to become a publicly traded company. Wheels Up - the leading brand in private aviation - is looking for a Social Media Manager to help lead our brand’s approach to social media content creation and engagement strategies, including our live event coverage, community management, and creator partnerships and activations. This role is intended for someone who has the ability to take a project and run with it from inception to execution, whether it’s building out a content calendar, a campaign for a new product, a major company announcement, launching a new social account, or run of show for a virtual or live Wheels Up event.

This person should have very strong writing skills, a keen eye for industry trends and how to execute on them in a way that’s always on-brand, and is enthusiastic about joining an agile team where each day provides a new challenge to take on. This person should also understand how data can inform a smart content strategy, can juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines, and be able to work across multiple business units and stakeholders to accomplish goals.


  • Manage monthly content calendar, including content sourcing and planning, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Master, and help with continuous fine-tuning and exploration of Wheels Up’s editorial voice.
  • Work across member services, public relations, product, sales, and flight operations teams to accomplish brand goals, and ensure social is delivering for the entire business.
  • Be on the cutting edge of social trends and culture, and know how and when to engage in them while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Partner with social media platforms to stay current on best practices and work with platform partnership leads.
  • Build and edit creative assets for various social platforms when necessary
  • Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to Wheels Up’s leadership team and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage and create new content partnerships with influencers, ambassadors and brands, incorporating each into a coherent, on-brand social strategy.
  • Adjust social strategy according to KPI pacing.
  • Constantly brainstorm new ideas based on market trends, and plan rollout strategies for testing, as well as KPIs to measure success and ROI.


  • 5+ years of social media management experience at either an agency, or a luxury brand or publisher
  • Passionate about social media and audience growth
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with social analytics and social listening tools, including but not limited to Sprout, Google Analytics, TalkWalker, or comparable tools
  • Experience managing partnerships with major social media platforms, vendors, and/or agency partners
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Basic photo editing and social asset design skills (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Spark, Canva, Final Cut Pro/Premier, etc…)
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Experience executing and reporting on paid social campaigns and familiarity with Facebook/Instagram and Twitter ad platforms
  • Knowledge or passion for aviation, or working on a membership-based brand is a plus
