Job Description

We’re Melio, a TLV-based startup on a mission to keep small businesses in business. Our online payment solution enables small businesses in the US to pay their bills in more efficient ways that improve their finances and free them up to focus more on managing the business they love.

Backed by top-tier VCs, we have a unique approach to small business payments and aim to make B2B payments as simple and easy as peer-to-peer payment apps. We’re growing fast and looking for enthusiastic team players.

As a Director of Activation & Retention , you will be responsible for leading our email marketing and product marketing efforts. In this role you will manage the team in charge of setting up and deploying multi-channel personalized flows, analyze & optimize for user behaviour and demographics and implement best practices. You will also manage product marketing efforts and stakeholders.

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Manage the retention managers, strategically and day to day.
  • Creating & monitoring various communication streams by analyzing data from CRM software, Marketing automation software and reporting and BI platforms. 
  • Manage end-to-end multi-channel campaigns: from creative conceptualization and design, through set up, segmentation, analysis & optimization. 
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Content, and Creative teams to create user journeys, optimize user engagement, conversion, and retention.

 

What we would love to see 

  • 5+ years of hands-on email marketing and CRM experience (Salesforce / Pardot / Hubspot experience - Advantage)
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Solid knowledge of email industry best practices including contact strategies, targeting and segmentation, A/B testing, and analytics
  • Experience in initiating, building, analyzing and optimizing drip campaigns/user journeys for different life stages, driven by data and user behavior
  • Knowledgeable in US email compliance laws such as CAN-SPAM
  • A proven track record of building campaigns based on an understanding of the user behavior
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to work on data analysis independently, or collaborating with BI analysts
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments to execute projects
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
