    About the Role

    As a member of the DevOps team, you will build and support applications and infrastructure enabling teams to configure, deploy, operate and monitor the mission critical services powering LendingClub. You will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. You will influence strategy and direction of our infrastructure by helping us build scalable solutions to challenging technical problems.

    What You'll Do

    • Build applications and infrastructure to enable LendingClub deliver high quality software fast 
    • Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure that is scalable and simple to maintain  
    • Collaborate with operations, security and engineering teams to provide self-service frameworks that ensure the platform stability, reduce risk and control costs 
    • Work throughout the full infrastructure including design, architecture, capacity planning, monitoring, alerting, security, scaling, failover and recovery 
    • Ensure site uptime and performance SLAs are met 
    • Collaborate with broader engineering team on new feature rollouts 
    • Be on periodic on-call duty to support the infrastructure 

    About You

    About You 

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field 

    • 5+ years hands-on experience operating enterprise class infrastructure 

    • 5+ years coding experience and proficient in an object-oriented programming language / Java 

    • AWS experience: EC2, ASG, ELB/ALB, AMI, EBS, VPC, CodeDeploy, IAM, S3, Route53, ECR, API Gateway 

    • Expert in building automated deployment and scalable systems 

    • System-level thinking and ability to move up and down the stack 

    • Familiarity with our stack a plus: AWS, Terraform, Docker,  EKS, Java, Python, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, Splunk 

     

    Active Projects and Roadmap 

    • Modernize infrastructure orchestration as containerization for scalability and portability  

    • Modernize deployment orchestration to support AWS migration  

    • Migrate AWS clusters from ELBs to ALBs 

    • Operations Efficiency – automate and improve existing systems to reduce toil and on-call overhead and false positives  

    • AWS Role and Tag refactoring and enforcement to simplify policy management  

    • Cost Optimization and Operationalization
