THE OPPORTUNITY:

At SalesLoft, the Art Director will be pivotal to our company’s success. You’ll report to the Director of Brand and be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing marketing team. You’ll work closely with our Communications, Brand, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Marketing Leadership teams to oversee and contribute to concept strategy and development, design, and implementation. This role will be responsible for establishing the creative direction, style, and methodology for the team, and ensuring all the materials we produce are on-brand and provide an amazing brand experience.  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated, and strategic creative leader with a proven track record of inspiring and leading outstanding creative work from concept to delivery. This role is a player/coach role. While you will be providing art direction and mentoring other designers, you’ll also be responsible for making beautiful, effective designs.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring all creative and design work adheres to brand guidelines
  • Continually improving the quality of deliverables, while operating within organizational constraints
  • Working with the project manager to prioritize production of marketing materials through our project management software (Monday.com), maintain quality standards and develop SOPs for brand expectations and timelines.
  • Reviewing work, troubleshooting, and providing feedback to the graphic designers and/or freelance creative talent
  • Developing creative approaches, styles, guidelines and templates for implementation across SalesLoft content, events and company resources
  • Understanding and owning the brand identity across channels and touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive, optimized and awesome experience
  • Working in collaboration with agencies and/or freelance design talent to develop and/or assist in developing compelling brand and demand generation campaigns.
  • Providing art direction and concepts for marketing campaigns and projects 
  • Briefing agency and/or freelance talent so they understand the vision and requirements for all creative requests and manage feedback from stakeholders to ensure it aligns with brand direction.
  • Working with the Content Marketing team to conceptualize content and experience ideas early in the content creation process.
  • Leading creative reviews for campaign and event creative with marketing leadership.
  • Managing tight timelines and executing design requests in-house when needed.
  • Continuing to build expertise as a designer and art director and bring the latest design trends to the SalesLoft brand.

THE SKILL SET:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art or related field
  • 5-7 years experience working as a graphic designer with 2+ years of experience as an art director or design lead.
  • Design experience across web, digital/interactive, video, email, print and traditional advertising
  • Ability to design but also art direct and approve others’ work and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Experience working with a fast-paced team in an action-oriented results-driven environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing brand systems and guidelines.
  • Experience working in the B2B marketing or technology space. SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual and executional skills in integrated campaigns.
  • Expert experience designing within the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD.
  • Experience designing within Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
  • Experience managing and creating requests and briefs within a Project Management software (Monday.com, Asana, Workfront, etc)
  • Self-starter, flexible, highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, with a strong creative eye, and has the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with a distributed, global team
  • Experience collaboration with global agencies

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend SalesLoft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our SalesLoft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Meet with others on the marketing team and begin developing an understanding of how we collaborate
  • Meet with key leaders across the business to understand their priorities and interdependencies with the creative team
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Develop firm grasp on our user personas, use cases, and brand standards

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Understand how you will contribute to our Marketing strategies and success
  • Oversee and contribute to concept strategy and development, design, and implementation of projects.
  • Be holding 1:1’s with other team members to coach and mentor them

 WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Providing full design oversight of the creation/production of all Marketing collateral
  • Create and maintain documented creative process as team scales and business develops
  • Analyze the performance of your work across platforms and recommend data-driven actions and adjust as needed
  • Continue to focus on your OKRs

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be considered a top-performing member of the marketing team by effectively executing on a successful design strategy 
  • Have an opinion about ways to continue to innovate in the area of Creative Services… and beyond!
  • Set an example for new marketers, and assist in training, onboarding, and motivating new Lofters
