LOS ANGELES
 
Our Los Angeles office is found in the center of downtown LA. Our office is in one of the city's tallest buildings with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains and the Hollywood sign. Inside, the office is full of plants and beautiful furniture, with amenities and work areas that allow Farfetchers to design their day to be the best it can be. Some of the main teams located here include Operations, Customer Service and Production.
 
THE ROLE
 
The Creative Manager oversees the studio creative team consisting of Photographers and Stylists. Through focusing and developing the teams' skills, the Creative Manager will ensure the quality and aesthetic of FARFETCH imagery meets our global standards and elevates our brand platform as a respected player in the marketplace. Working with FARFETCH styling and photography leaders both in the studio and around the world, the Creative Manager will enhance the content of FARFETCH images in keeping with company standards. Working with the Styling Editor, the Creative Manager will maintain awareness of seasonal trends and work with the on- set teams to build those looks to the diverse brands available through FARFETCH. In partnership with the Production Operations Manager, the Creative Manager will direct Photography and Styling teams so that they meet productivity expectations, meeting Goal's while encouraging personal growth within a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • You will manage a full-time and seasonal creative photography studio team, including styling, photography
    • Develop, and recruit where necessary, the in-house and freelance creative team; support them to improve and produce on-brand luxe imagery
    • You will share and cascade style and photography trends with the creative team based on interaction with Sr. Styling Editor and input from global photography leadership team
    • Set well-defined expectations and train team members on improvements based on performance feedback
    • Provide mentoring, development and performance management for the team
    • You will work with the Production Operations Manager to ensure team Goal's and targets are established and met
    • Coordinate with production planning and the Senior Styling Editor to establish photographer, stylist and model schedules and assign daily tasks
    • Working with the Studio PlannerCoordinator, ensure the studio workflow is running correctly and all sets are following photography guidelines
    • Support a continuous improvement culture by promoting input/feedback between the team and the Process Engineer Partner with global partners to align on global standards and learn best-practices & techniques
    • Address set equipment needs through overseeing a monthly photography budget
    • Work with Sr. Styling Editor to maintain and purchase items for styling tool kit

WHO YOU ARE

    • You have 3+ years managing a creative team in an ecommerce photography studio.
    • You have experience working with and managing on-figure stylists
    • You have great people skills; ability to build relationships with other departments
    • You can lead a team to meet a range of time, cost and quality SLAs
    • You are a culture builder, allowing the team to act autonomously to live the FARFETCH's values
    • You have experience developing and refining processes as it relates to photography production
    • You are efficient with time management and deadlines
    • You are experienced directing models and photographers on set
    • You have experience with Windows, Adobe Software and Canon cameras
    • You are proficient in Adobe Lightroom
    • You have knowledge of spreadsheets & Google Docs
