The IT Systems Manager is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the direction of the internal IT infrastructure. This includes managing the members of the IT team, forming vendor relationships, and advancing the technologies being used within the organization. This role reports to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to enable cross-functional teamwork with other departments
  • Develop and maintain the processes for managing and tracking all IT assets, including licenses, devices, hardware, and SaaS subscriptions
  • Manage the staffing needs of the department, including hiring, performance review, and career development
  • Develop relationships with vendors, negotiating costs and controlling expenditures
  • Participate as a primary member of the Security and Incident Response team

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership experience and/or proven ability to lead projects to completion
  • Ability to multi-task, delegate, and prioritize tasks to meet department goals
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and experience maintaining relationships with vendors and internal departments
  • Strong documentation skills; ability to document as you work
  • Experience with security and compliance/access control documentation a must
  • Strong scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, VBScript, Python)
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with hypervisors (VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer)
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
  • Advanced knowledge of SSO and SAML technologies (Okta, OneLogin, Azure AD)
  • Advanced network skills including Firewall, TCP/IP, NAS/DAS, CIDR, DNS, VPN, and IP Addressing

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
