Job Description

Relay is seeking a motivated and experienced Supply Planning Senior Director.  This person will be responsible for developing and overseeing the clinical and commercial supply chain planning process to ensure clinical/commercial drug availability based on demand forecasts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, communication, networking and team skills and will demonstrate proven ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.  

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and oversee plans for clinical and commercial packaging that results in meeting demand for Relay’s pipeline drug’s
    • Provide strategic direction and oversee all planning and operations for the supply chain management function.
    • Work with internal and external partners to develop production plans that ensure supply within committed timelines. Develop corresponding risk mitigation strategies.
    • Build and manage the systems to support Clinical and Commercial Supply Operations (IRT, Serialization, Planning tools, etc.)
    • Build the supply chain function by working closely with Commercial, Clinical Operations, CMC, Quality, Regulatory Affairs.
    • Manage and build a team to support supply chain planning and execution.
    • Collaborate with Development, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory to develop comprehensive validation and/or scale-up strategy to support launch and commercial plans.
    • Collaborate with Commercial to develop commercial scenarios and estimate long-term volumes.
    • Establish D&OP (Demand and Operations Planning) processes as needed to review and align demand and supply topics.
    • Drive development and implementation of applicable supply planning and scheduling systems and tools.
    • Support the FP&A processes (e.g. forecasting, strategic planning) by analyzing raw material and external supply partner requirements (e.g. Drug substance, drug product and packaging demand) on an annual basis, and create material budget forecasts for strategic planning
    • Support serialization implementation for commercial supply chain

Qualifications:

    • BA/BS in Supply Chain/Operations or life sciences/health-related field.
    • You have 15+ years of experience in supply chain planning within the Pharmaceutical industry or related industry (oral solids / oncology supply chain experience is a plus) with at least 5 in a management capacity.
    • This isn’t your first rodeo, as you have had prior experience in pharmaceutical drug development and product launch.
    • Understanding of supply chain management and associated resources/tools, for oral solid products with knowledge of contract packaging and labeling operations.  
    • Must have the technical project management & external relationships experience necessary to lead the teams in a strategic and tactical manner
    • Adept and diplomatic in interacting with senior management both within the organization and with external organizations, consultants and vendors.
    • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and within tight time constraints.
    • Able to prioritize multiple tasks from multiple parties and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to forecast and allocate resources to meet objectives.
